About Gravitas
Gravitas was an Australian esports organisation that competed in the LCO, the League of Legends Circuit Oceania, the premier competition for the Oceanic region. Based in Australia, the team was part of the professional scene serving Australia, New Zealand and the wider Pacific area, a region with a passionate community and its own distinct competitive identity. Gravitas is now a former team, having since disbanded.
Oceanic Competition
The LCO stands as the top domestic league for Oceania, having taken over as the region’s flagship competition. It offers Oceanic organisations a stage to compete at the highest domestic level and, historically, a pathway toward international representation. For an Australian team like Gravitas, the league was the centre of its competitive ambitions during its years of activity.
The Roster
Over its existence Gravitas featured a notably deep list of players, including Piglet, Thomas Shen, Tyran, DaJeung, Vxpir, Entrust, N0body, Llenia, Floppy and Toppy. The presence of experienced names on the roster reflected the organisation’s intent to be competitive within the Oceanic circuit, blending seasoned figures with regional talent across its lineup.
Oceania has always been a smaller region relative to giants such as Korea, China and Europe, but it has produced players who went on to test themselves abroad. Teams operating in the LCO played an important role in sustaining a viable competitive environment far from the sport’s largest markets.
Though Gravitas no longer competes, it remains part of the record of Oceanic League of Legends. Its former roster and its place in the LCO contribute to the ongoing narrative of a region that continues to punch above its weight and nurture talent in the southern hemisphere.
