GIANTX used patient team play to win both games against Team Heretics

GIANTX beat Team Heretics 2-0 in the fifth week of the LEC summer season. GIANTX controlled the important team fights and did not allow Team Heretics to force a third game.
The result added a convincing win to GIANTX’s record. Team Heretics created pressure in parts of both games but could not use it to take control of the map.
GIANTX prepared the river before each fight
The players moved from the lanes early and placed vision near the next objective. Team Heretics had to enter areas that GIANTX could already see. This preparation gave GIANTX a choice. The team could begin the objective, turn toward an opponent or wait until Team Heretics used an important ability.
Good vision does not win a fight by itself. It gives players more time to decide, and GIANTX used that time to keep its formation together.
Team Heretics struggled to connect its attacks
The team sometimes found a target but lacked support from another angle. One player could begin an attack while the main damage source was still moving into position. GIANTX survived those first attempts and then answered. The defenders had more abilities available because they did not spend everything on the first target.
Team Heretics needed to wait for the side lanes or choose a shorter route. Entering from separate paths made a coordinated fight much harder.
The second game followed a clear pattern
GIANTX gained a small advantage and turned it into control around Dragon and Baron. The team did not chase opponents far from the next useful area. When Team Heretics defended one lane, GIANTX moved pressure to another part of the map.

This forced the defenders to walk long distances and reduced the time available to place wards.
The final attack began only after GIANTX had enough minions near the base. That simple preparation stopped Team Heretics from clearing one lane and immediately starting a counterattack.
GIANTX can repeat the method
The strongest part of the win was its clear order. The team moved the lanes, prepared vision and then chose the fight. Team Heretics can also use the match as a practical review. Earlier movement and one shared target would make its attacks more difficult to stop.
GIANTX earned a 2-0 victory without needing a third game. The next match will test whether the same map discipline works against another style.
GIANTX made the map easier for its damage dealers
A player can attack safely only when the nearest threat is visible or controlled. GIANTX used wards and the position of its front line to create that information before each important fight. Team Heretics sometimes began with a useful ability but could not continue the attack. The next player was too far away, so GIANTX had time to move back and prepare a response.
Team Heretics can correct this problem by selecting one entrance and waiting until all five players are close. GIANTX can keep improving the same strength by preparing lanes before the first ward is placed.

The 2-0 win saves energy for the next match
A two-game victory removes the need for another draft and another long match. The saved time can support recovery during a busy summer schedule.
GIANTX should not treat the score as proof that every early phase was perfect. Team Heretics created pressure, and a stronger opponent may turn the same openings into a larger advantage.
Side-lane control prevented a late surprise
GIANTX did not leave a large group of enemy minions near an outer tower while preparing Baron. One player handled the lane and returned before the objective became vulnerable. That timing prevented Team Heretics from gaining a structure during every lost fight. It also kept GIANTX’s base safe while the team increased its lead.
The same method requires clear calls. The player in the side lane must know when to leave. The other four must wait until the group is complete before they begin a fight.
GIANTX kept its lead useful between objectives
A gold advantage can disappear when a team waits without using it. GIANTX continued to push side lanes and remove enemy vision after each successful fight. Team Heretics had less space to collect resources safely before the next objective.
The side-lane work also protected GIANTX from a surprise comeback. One player handled the minion wave while the other four stayed close enough to retreat. The group did not begin Baron until every required role was in position.
This patience made the 2-0 score look controlled. GIANTX did not chase every low-health opponent. It used each win to improve the map and forced Team Heretics to take the next fight from a weaker position.
