The Story of Twitch
Twitch would tell you Piltover’s glittering towers are the real filth, and that he’s simply holding up a mirror.
Born a plague rat in Zaun, the chem-fueled undercity beneath Piltover where invention and danger sit side by side, he wears that origin as an actual point of pride rather than shame, treating garbage and grime as subjects worth genuine study. His chem-powered crossbow is aimed squarely at the wealth above him, intended to prove that the gilded city hides just as much grime beneath its polish. When he isn’t picking through the Sump for whatever’s been thrown away, he’s rooting through other people’s trash for anything worth keeping — treasure, junk, or an old sandwich, he isn’t picky. Sneaking is second nature to him; he would rather vanish into a pile of refuse than announce himself to anyone above ground.
His combat style carries the same scavenger’s patience:
- Deadly Venom infects every basic attack, dealing true damage that ticks each second afterward.
- Ambush cloaks him in Camouflage and adds Move Speed, then grants a burst of Attack Speed the moment he breaks cover — doubly dangerous against anyone already poisoned.
- Venom Cask lobs an exploding cask that slows its targets and spreads the venom on impact.
- Contaminate detonates further damage on any enemy already carrying his poison.
- Spray and Pray, his ultimate, unleashes a volley of bolts that pierce every enemy in a long line.
As a Marksman and Assassin who plays ADC or Mid on Mana, his Attack Speed ranks among the highest of any champion, which is what makes on-hit items so rewarding once he’s committed to a fight. Contaminate covers a long range, so stacking Deadly Venom on a target beforehand, rather than triggering it early, gets the most out of the eventual detonation. He pays for that power with fragility: once caught outside Camouflage, he has little room to absorb damage, and while a spell shield can block the effects his poison triggers, it won’t stop the true damage of Deadly Venom itself from landing. Teammates like Jinx or Janna, and even names like Blitzcrank, Dr. Mundo, and Ekko, need to commit the moment his Camouflage drops, because once Twitch is caught in the open, the scavenger becomes the prey.
