No one summons Janna; she simply arrives. The elemental wind spirit is said by some to have taken shape from the prayers of sailors begging for calm seas, and whatever the truth of that origin, her attention long ago turned toward the people who need her most: those scraping by beneath Zaun‘s smoke and chemical haze.

Winds Over the Undercity

Zaun’s undercity is not a place that rewards weakness, and Janna’s presence there has made her something close to a legend among the dispossessed. She shows up unannounced, offers what protection the wind can provide, and vanishes just as quietly, leaving behind nothing but calmer air and a story that gets retold. Champions who share that same chem-soaked world, including Jinx, know it as a place that produces both danger and the occasional guardian spirit willing to push back against it.

Shaping a Fight with Air

Janna’s kit turns weather into a weapon and a shield in equal measure. Howling Gale lets her build a storm that grows the longer she waits, then release it as a gust that knocks enemies aside. Zephyr keeps her moving faster than anyone chasing her while occasionally lashing out to slow a target, and Eye of the Storm throws a defensive gale around an ally or turret, padding their survivability and sharpening their damage. Her ultimate, Monsoon, is where all of it comes together: a surrounding tempest that hurls back attackers before settling into healing winds for anyone still standing nearby. Every part of her toolkit favors someone protecting others rather than someone hunting alone, which fits a spirit whose entire reputation rests on showing up for people who have no one else. Her passive, Tailwind, rewards allies simply for staying close to her, granting Move Speed to anyone moving in her direction and letting Janna convert that same bonus speed into extra magic damage on her own hits and through Zephyr. Whether she is played as a support anchoring a lane or a mage controlling space at range, mana is what fuels every gust of it, spent freely because a wind spirit answering prayers has never had much use for restraint.
