Sejuani

Winter does not negotiate, and neither does Sejuani.

She leads the Winter’s Claw, one of the Freljord’s most feared warbands, through a yearly fight against the elements that leaves no room for softness. Survival there means raiding Noxians, Demacians, and Avarosans alike whenever the harsh season demands it, and Sejuani takes personal charge of the most dangerous of those raids, riding into battle on her drüvask boar Bristle and wielding a flail forged from True Ice that freezes anything it touches. Her people do not follow her out of ceremony; they follow her because she has never asked them to endure anything she would not ride into first.

That same hard logic put her at odds with Ashe, her rival for authority over the Freljord’s scattered tribes — two warmothers with very different ideas about how their people should survive the cold, and no simple way to reconcile them.

Cold as a Weapon

As a Tank built for the top lane, Sejuani turns the cold into armor. Fury of the North, her passive, grants Frost Armor after time spent out of combat, adding Armor, Magic Resist, and immunity to slows, protection that lingers briefly even after she takes a hit. Arctic Assault charges her forward, launching enemies into the air and stopping the instant she connects with a champion, useful for escaping a losing fight as much as starting a winning one. Winter’s Wrath swings her mace twice, the second and harder swing carrying most of the damage, stacking Frost on anyone it touches — melee allies and enemies alike add to those stacks just by trading blows near her. Permafrost punishes that stacking directly, freezing and stunning any target who has built to the maximum. Glacial Prison, her ultimate, throws a bola that stuns the first champion hit and leaves an ice storm slowing everyone else nearby, strongest when teammates are close enough to capitalize on the stun.

Sejuani’s world is the Freljord itself, shared uneasily with allies and rivals alike, including Braum, who endures the same brutal winters by very different means.
