The Story of Olaf
Olaf, the Berserker of Lokfar, wants only one thing: to die in battle worthy of song. That single desire defines everything about him. When a prophecy once told him he would die peacefully in his bed, he took it as a mark of shame rather than comfort, and gave up chasing peace entirely, choosing instead to court death on his own terms. He turned his fury outward, cutting down champions and monsters alike across the Freljord, hoping each fight would be decisive enough to end him.
None has. Olaf now fights as a merciless enforcer for the Winter’s Claw, a militant faction whose warlike temperament suits his own restless nature. He still fights with the same purpose: not conquest, not glory for its own sake, but the hope that whatever war comes next in the Freljord — a harsh, frozen land of rival tribes and ice magic, where older powers still stir beneath the snow — will finally be the one that kills him.
Olaf plays as a fighter and tank most often found in the top lane, burning mana to power a kit built entirely around embracing damage rather than avoiding it. His passive, Berserker Rage, grants him Attack Speed and Life Steal that scale with how much health he is missing, meaning the closer he drifts to death, the harder he hits and the more he sustains himself. Undertow throws an axe along the ground, damaging anyone it passes through and weakening their Armor and Move Speed, with the axe itself available for Olaf to retrieve afterward. Tough It Out raises his Attack Speed and wraps him in a Shield, buying the time to close a gap. Reckless Swing deals true damage to both Olaf and his target, refunding its own health cost outright if the blow finishes the enemy off. Ragnarok, his ultimate, passively bolsters his Armor and Magic Resist, and can be activated to make him immune to disables for as long as he keeps attacking — a state that lets him push through crowd control that would stop any other fighter cold. Every tool points toward the same end he has been chasing since Lokfar. Whether that end ever arrives is, for Olaf, almost beside the point — the fight is the only peace left to him.
