The Story of Leona
Leona carries the sun’s fire in a literal sense. As a holy warrior of the Solari, she carries the Shield of Daybreak into every fight and calls on the Zenith Blade when a target needs reaching from further away, all while guarding Mount Targon itself. Her skin catches starfire, and her gaze carries an unmistakable trace of the celestial Aspect bound inside her. Gold armor and a heavy inheritance of ancient knowledge complete the picture of someone built specifically to be seen from a distance and remembered afterward.
What that inheritance means depends entirely on who is standing in front of her. Leona brings enlightenment to some and death to others, and the Solari themselves see her as exactly the kind of protector Targon needs against threats that hide in shadow rather than face them directly. That framing puts her in quiet, ongoing opposition to Diana, a moon-aligned counterpart whose entire existence the Solari would rather not acknowledge. Their bond has been described as star-crossed, and it is easy to see why: two women shaped by opposite lights, each convinced her own is the one Targon actually needs.
On the battlefield, Leona fights by marking targets and then punishing whoever finishes the job. Sunlight, her passive, afflicts anyone she damages with a glow that allied champions can detonate for bonus magic damage. Shield of Daybreak turns her next basic attack into a stunning blow, and Eclipse lets her soak up damage before releasing it back at anything still standing nearby. Zenith Blade projects a solar image of her sword in a line, briefly rooting the last champion it strikes and pulling Leona toward them. Solar Flare, her ultimate, calls down a beam that stuns whoever stands at its center while slowing everyone caught at the edges, a fitting capstone for a warrior whose entire kit is built around making sure no target enjoys the luxury of distance.
