The Story of Ivern
Not every wanderer in Runeterra is entirely human, and Ivern Bramblefoot is proof of it. Half man, half tree, he moves through the wilderness the way most people move through familiar streets, treating every thicket and hollow as worth visiting rather than simply passing through. Those who call him the Green Father do so because he tends the forests he walks through, leaving them fuller and stranger than he found them.
His knowledge runs to things most champions never bother learning: which vine listens, which creature owes a favor, which butterfly can be trusted to carry a whispered secret from one grove to the next. He holds friendships with the things that grow, fly, and scuttle across the wilds of Freljord and beyond, and dispenses wisdom to travelers in a manner that tends to leave them more confused than enlightened. Ivern is not hostile, exactly — he is simply operating on a timescale and logic that belongs to the forest rather than to people.
That same philosophy carries into how he fights. Rootcaller lets him snare an enemy with conjured vine so allies can close in behind the hit, while Brushmaker turns patches of undergrowth into ambush points that reward anyone standing in them with bonus damage. Triggerseed extends his protective instincts outward, wrapping an ally in a shield that punishes attackers if left untouched. When the moment calls for something larger, he summons Daisy, a Sentinel bonded closely enough to answer his commands in a fight. Nothing about Ivern reads as conquest; he is cultivating, not claiming, and the forest is both his home and his cause.
Mechanically, Ivern is built as a support who can just as easily flex into the middle lane, drawing on mana like most other spellcasters even though little else about him resembles a conventional mage. His passive, Friend of the Forest, keeps him from ever coming to blows with non-epic jungle monsters, letting him grow magical groves on camps instead of clearing them the way any other jungler would. Left long enough, those groves free the monster inside entirely, one more small kindness from a champion who seems constitutionally unable to leave a patch of wilderness worse off than he found it.
