She’s rarely mentioned without Vi in the same sentence. The two work as a pair, with Caitlyn’s composed precision balancing out Vi’s more impulsive approach to the same problems, a partnership built on contrast rather than similarity. Among the people Caitlyn has spent the most time pursuing is Jinx, whose chaos runs directly counter to everything Caitlyn’s methods are built to contain.

Her signature hextech rifle gets most of the attention, but her real advantage is how she thinks. Caitlyn plans several steps ahead of the people she’s hunting, laying traps that punish anyone careless enough to operate in her city without accounting for her. That shows up clearly in her kit: Headshot rewards patience, dealing bonus damage on set intervals or against anyone she’s already trapped or netted. Piltover Peacemaker punches through a line of enemies, losing power with each target it passes through. Yordle Snap Trap immobilizes and reveals whoever springs it, setting up a free empowered shot. 90 Caliber Net slows at range, though the recoil knocks her backward as a tradeoff. Ace in the Hole, her ultimate, is the clearest expression of her patience, a long windup for a single shot at enormous range, one that a quick ally can still intercept to save a teammate. Every part of it favors the same skill set: read the situation, set the trap, and let the enemy walk into it.

She’s built as an ADC drawing on Mana rather than the more common energy pool marksmen often rely on, a fitting resource for someone whose plans are as deliberate as her shots. Fellow inventive minds of Piltover, like Heimerdinger, apply that same city’s cleverness to invention rather than law, but Caitlyn’s intelligence stays pointed squarely at the people breaking it.
