Steal An Egg features over fifty pets, spread across eleven biomes, from Forest to Brainrot Eggs. The most valuable pet earns $1 billion per second, but it’s a bit of a stretch to reach. It’s best to start with the Chicken and Frog—they’re cheap, accessible, and will provide initial speed bonuses. This guide includes a complete list of all the pets, tables with income and rewards, and, most importantly, a step-by-step plan for which zone to master at each stage to save time and money.

How do pets and the index work in Steal An Egg Roblox?
Before you rush into building your collection, it’s worth understanding the basics. Each pet has three stats: rarity, base income per second, and index reward. Rarity ranges from common to divine—the higher the rarity, the higher the index reward. Income is automatically added to the pet pool, and it’s the foundation of the game’s entire economy. Index rewards are one-time speed bonuses that accumulate for each new pet. Speed apparently speeds up egg collection or movement—the developers haven’t revealed the exact formula, but in practice, the higher the index, the faster progress.
Here’s the important thing: Index rewards are awarded once for the first pet of each type. Duplicates don’t count. So, completing the bestiary is beneficial not only for the income, but also for the passive upgrades that stay with you forever.
Full list of Steal An Egg pets by biome and zone
Below are all the zones and all the pets found there. The tables are structured as follows: name, rarity, income per second, and index rewards. For the “Brainrot Eggs” zone, income is not listed for many—this is a gap that we’ll highlight separately. There are also a few odd duplicates (for example, the Sand Spider is found in both the Desert and the Jungle with different numbers)—we’ll come back to this later.

Leveling strategy and effective farming of biomes by stages
Now for the best part – how not to get lost in this zoo and build an effective chain of discoveries.

Stage 1: Start (first minutes)
Start with the Forest and the Lake. They’re cheap, pets are accessible, and the index rewards are small, but they’ll quickly build up your starting capital. Chicken, Dog, and Frog are your starting kit. As soon as you reach $1.8k/sec from the Brr Brr Patapima, move on to the next stage.
Stage 2: Early-Mid-Level (income up to $100k/sec)
Unlock the Desert and Jungle. Mythical and secret pets are already available here. I recommend focusing on Scorpion (Desert, $18.5k) and Tiger (Jungle, $28k). They’ll give you a decent boost. Don’t rush into the King Snake right away—it’s secret and hard to find. It’s better to save up for unlocking Snow.
Stage 3: Intermediate-Advanced (income $1M/sec+)
Snow and Volcano are your targets. Eternal dragons live here. Ice Dragon ($65m) and Lava Dragon ($100m) are seriously powerful. Obtaining them will require a lot of resources, but the payoff is quick. Also, don’t forget about the Ocean Abyss—El Mach ($130m) is worth getting there.
Stage 4: Endgame (income $100M+)
Space and Cherry Blossom are for the most persistent. Divine and eternal dragons with fantastic numbers are found here. A Unicorn ($1 billion) is a dream, but the road to it is long. First, master the Prehistoric Era – the Mosasaurus ($180 million) is a great stepping stone.
Stage 5: The Brainrot Riddle
If you’ve reached the Brainrot Eggs, you’re already a pro. However, there’s no income data, so this is purely experimental. Perhaps these pets provide unique bonuses unrelated to money.
Answers to frequently asked questions about Steal An Egg pets
Why doesn’t the Kitsune have income?
This is most likely a data error. The game should have income, but the developers haven’t disclosed it. It’s roughly comparable to other divine pets – perhaps around $500 million-$1 billion.
What should I do with duplicate pets (Sand Spider, Whale Shark)?
Apparently, these are different variants or typos. In the game, there’s likely only one of them in each zone. We recommend checking for yourself and letting us know.
Should I collect all the pets or just the best ones?
Collecting them all is beneficial for the Index rewards—the speed increases with each new species. But if resources are limited, focus on the top income-generating ones from our comparison table.
How do new zones unlock?
The exact requirements are unknown, but a certain income level or number of eggs is usually required. Keep an eye on the in-game prompts.
This completes the list of all the pets in Steal an Egg. If you want to get one of the best, consider the Unicorn or Oni Tiger, but be prepared for a long journey. In the meantime, explore the Forest and Lake—and remember: a vast bestiary not only provides money but also speed, which speeds up everything else. Good luck farming!
