There are many characters in Neverness to Everness, but some are literally the toast of the community. Jiuyuan is one of them. Just one look at her and it’s clear—her design is gorgeous, her personality is unique.

But the main bonus: this girl gives you access to one of the best vehicles in the game, and quite early on. A nice bonus, you’ll agree. And if you want to use her in battle, you’ll need to master Arcs, Consoles, and the right commands.

Review of Jiuyuan Esper Abilities and Skills

Jiuyuan is an S-class character with the Anima element. Her role is sub-damage dealer. The idea is simple: she unloads all her damage in a couple of seconds, after which you switch to your main damage dealer. Very convenient for many builds, and she will remain relevant in the future.

Grants four bullets at once and applies the same Deadly Pact to enemies.

Several strong candidates are vying for this role, and account resources, as usual, are limited.

A closer look at the stats reveals that Nunnally remains the clear leader in pure damage output in Patch 1.0. However, there’s a catch: she’s limited, so you’ll have to fight for her with a banner. Meanwhile, Daffodil is indispensable on bosses due to her piercing mechanic, which Jiuyuan lacks entirely. Jiuyuan, on the other hand, will become the gold standard for those who plan to play with standard builds and build packs using the Anima and Blossom synergy.

Best Damage Dealers Tier List Version 1.0

The ranking is based on effectiveness in the most challenging endgame content, assuming all heroes are properly geared. The situation as of May 1, 2026, is as follows:

• S+: Nunnally. Head and shoulders above the competition. She doesn’t care how many targets she faces—she annihilates both solo bosses and hordes of smallfolk equally effectively.
• S: Daffodil. The queen of penetration. Without her talents, picking at thick-skinned opponents in the final stages will take a painfully long time.
• S: Cheese. Perhaps the most pleasant surprise for F2P players. With smart rotations, this free damage dealer produces numbers worthy of top legendaries.
• A+: Jiuyuan. A powerful sub-damage dealer who fits perfectly into Blossom-based rosters. Among standard characters of his element, he’s the best choice.
• A: Baikang. This character isn’t for everyone. He has enormous potential, but the need to constantly monitor his health and the reliance on the Dissonance mechanic make his gameplay overly sweaty.

If you’ve already managed to knock out Nunnally, Jiuyuan will be an excellent partner for her, eliminating the issue of Anima Reactions. In this combination, the team works like clockwork.

For those without a limited main damage dealer, Jiuyuan will also be extremely useful. She can carry almost any starting lineup as a fire support, freeing up space for Sakiri or Daffodil. At the same time, the overall pressure on the enemy remains high.

Hethereau’s Keeper is a versatile option. 15% attack and another 15% against bosses. A solid boost without any unnecessary fuss.

The Forgotten (A-Class). This one is worse—the secondary stat is based on health, not damage. But if you’re completely out of options, the extra attack from this Arc makes things a little better.

First Step To Success (B-Class) is a simple and effective option. After using the skill, attack increases by 16% for ten seconds (at maximum mixing). It’s easy to level up, and the effect is pleasant.

Console Selection and Top Modules for Jiuyuan

The Console system in NTE is intimidating at first, but the Jiuyuan build isn’t as scary. The best cartridge is “Fireflies and the Forest.” The module setup is standard: we look for the Anima damage bonus as the primary stat. Secondary stats are prioritized:

There are several cartridges:

“Fireflies and Forest” is the primary choice.

Two items: +10% Anima damage. Four items: When a nearby enemy takes damage from Anima, Jiuyuan’s critical damage is increased by 8% (up to seven times). A massive buff.

Speedy Hedgehog is for a support build.

Two items: +12% charge efficiency. Four items: After your ultimate, all allies gain 15% attack for 20 seconds. Useful if you’re not soloing.

Shadow Creed — only for the early game, nothing more.

Two items: +10% attack. Four items: After the skill, +25% attack. But I don’t recommend wasting “Character Pixels” on it. It’s better to farm “Fireflies and Forest” right away—it’s just as effective, but it’s worth it for the long term.

Best Team Comps and Synergies

Neverness to Everness only has 16 characters at launch—a rare situation for a gacha. Finding the perfect team for a specific hero can be difficult, especially before the newcomers arrive. But Jiuyuan is lucky. Two working builds are already available for her, and both work with the available units.

Top Compound – with Nunnally

The combination of Jiuyuan and Nunnally (the game’s first Limited) makes for a powerful tandem. Nunnally is the main damage dealer here. Add Hathor and Esper Zero, and you have a full rotation for Bloom, Remora, and Esper Charge. While the cycle is quite dense, the Bloom buffs from both heroes make it more enjoyable. It’s a joy to play.

Budget Alternative

No Nunnally or Hathor? Get Mint and Haniel. They’re a tasty substitute. In this version, Haniel’s support skill won’t work, but her ultimate gives an attack bonus plus extra damage. So it’s too early to write her off.

Priority Chain for Jiuyuan Awakening

If you’ve decided to invest in awakenings, here’s the priority chain. It’s arranged by effectiveness, from the most critical to the most enjoyable.

1. Intelligence Transformed into Blades – the base. Increases the damage of Deadly Pink Pact and adds healing to the team for damage dealt. You can’t live without it.
2. Knowing to Balance – Jiuyuan’s attack increases for each enemy with Deadly Pink Pact on the field. Stacks up to three targets. Passive stat farming.
3. Information Superiority – All targets with the same debuff take 8% more damage from Jiuyuan. Modest, but consistent.
4. Killing Blow – this one is more fun: the damage multiplier for “Pact Realization” jumps by 50% if the target is in the area of effect and the effect is active.
5. Fixed Advantage – when “Pact Realization” is activated via the ultimate, additional damage is added to the enemy’s Breakthrough meter. A gamechanger against bosses.
