Overwatch has prepared a Legendary version of Junkrat’s Loot Hunt and changed a wide range of heroes in its latest live patch. The three-week event begins on September 12 and continues through September 29. The tank hero D.Mon receives faster mech transformation and a more accurate repeater but loses armor and saber damage. D.Va gains base health in 5v5, while Mauga, Winston, Zarya and Wrecking Ball receive changes to protection or defensive timing. Damage and support heroes also receive targeted adjustments.

Legendary Loot Hunt has a defined three-week window

Legendary Junkrat’s Loot Hunt will run from September 12 through September 29. The limited event gives returning players a clear period in which to complete its challenges and inspect its rewards. It should be treated as a separate event layer rather than evidence that every hero change is temporary. Players who plan around the event can first check the challenge list, then choose the modes that advance several objectives at once. That approach avoids repeating games that do not contribute to the rewards they actually want.

D.Mon gives up protection for faster responses

D.Mon loses 25 armor in 6v6 and her Photon Saber damage falls from 65 to 60. In return, the activation time for Call Mech drops from 1.95 seconds to 0.95 seconds, Barrier Deployment begins much faster, and the Particle Repeater spread narrows. The package changes how she enters and controls a fight. She is less forgiving when exposed, but the shorter transformation and more accurate ranged fire give her more responsive options. Players should test the new timing before assuming that the same opportunities to attack her still exist.

Area Main change
Limited event Legendary Junkrat’s Loot Hunt, September 12-29
D.Mon Faster Call Mech and improved repeater accuracy
D.Va More mech health in 5v5
Support Changes for Baptiste, Brigitte, Kiriko and others
Map Black Forest restored after a fix

Several tanks receive smaller but important changes

D.Va gains 25 base mech health in 5v5. Winston’s Barrier Projector returns sooner but remains active for less time, while Wrecking Ball receives a shorter Adaptive Barrier cooldown. Zarya’s Personal Barrier takes one second longer to return. Mauga loses armor and the effective range of firing both chainguns together is reduced. None of these changes can be read through one health number alone. Tank players need to compare defensive uptime, engagement distance and the support available before choosing the same routes as in the previous patch.

Damage changes focus on clarity and reliable ranges

The damage roster receives targeted adjustments rather than one shared rule. Anran, Freja, Junkrat and Sierra are among the heroes with updated values or ability behavior. A small range, spread or recovery change can alter which position is safe even when the basic ability remains familiar. Players should begin with simple tests against fixed targets and then move into live matches. Recording the distance at which damage becomes unreliable is more useful than declaring a hero stronger or weaker after a single result.

Support heroes must reconsider familiar timing

Baptiste, Brigitte, Kiriko, Wuyang and Zenyatta are included in the support balance pass. These heroes solve different problems, so the patch does not create one universal support plan. The practical work is to identify which cooldown now arrives earlier or later during a normal fight. A support pair should agree which tool answers the first attack and which remains available for the follow-up. Using both defensive abilities at the same moment can erase the value of improved timing elsewhere in the patch.

Opponents receive clearer chances against Jetpack Cat

Jetpack Cat’s changes are designed to make interactions easier to read while preserving her mobile role. Opponents need visible moments in which pressure can be applied, and teammates need to understand when her movement can support them. The safest way to learn the revised matchup is to watch the start and end of each mobility action instead of tracking only the hero’s final position. Clear audio and animation cues matter because a fast target can otherwise appear to escape without a clear chance to respond. Repeated practice reveals the actual opening.

Stadium mode has separate balance changes

Stadium balance is listed separately from the standard hero changes. That distinction matters because powers, items and round structure can make the same ability perform differently from the main modes. Players should not carry a Stadium conclusion directly into standard play or use a standard tier list to judge every Stadium purchase. A useful review compares the cost of an item with the exact problem it solves in the current match. Selling or changing a purchase can be correct when the opposing team changes its approach between rounds.

Bug fixes improve rewards and match information

The patch corrects issues affecting challenges, hero interactions, interface information and several maps. Black Forest is available again after a problem was fixed. A restored map should be tested with current collision and sight lines rather than remembered only from an earlier version. Players who were missing progress should also verify the relevant challenge after completing a qualifying action. If the counter still fails, the report should name the mode, hero and challenge so the support team can separate a new problem from the one already resolved.
