In esports, it often isn’t about doing things “the correct way”—it’s about who can set the pace first. Abrahams have built their lane farming around a setup that makes it hard for opponents to adapt in time.

How they gain the advantage

During the laning phase, Abrahams start with 4 players on the central lane. They group up to secure the wave, create map pressure through space control and wave management, and then transition into a 2+2 split on the side lanes.
The key is that they repeat this pattern throughout the entire laning phase, which lets them consistently pull ahead by roughly +5–7k souls.

tactic

Why it matters

That soul lead directly translates into economy: the team can buy stronger, more expensive items earlier. For example, Ivy can rush into HeadHunter ahead of critical timings, gaining advantages in tempo, trades, and push power.

“In theory” it should be different

Ideally, souls should be distributed closer to 33/33/33 across lanes. But it looks like Abrahams found a workable workaround—something opponents either can’t punish properly or can’t close fast enough.

Did someone “forget” the split?

Against opponents (like Йоши), it doesn’t look like a random mistake. More likely, the problem is one of the following:

  • they failed to keep the tempo and lost positioning/pressure,
  • they didn’t respond with the right split and counter-rotations,
  • they couldn’t maintain equal farming efficiency under constant 2+2 pressure.

Could this change the meta?

This doesn’t feel like a one-off “exploit”—it reads like a deliberate macro plan. Instead of focusing on a perfect theoretical split, the real question becomes how well a team can control wave timing and win map control.
If Abrahams can reproduce this and consistently secure the +5–7k lead, teams will likely start copying the idea—and that can force a shift in how squads defend and respond to early splits.
