Koei Tecmo has finally put everything in its place. After the indefinite postponement in the spring — the developers then honestly admitted that they needed more time to “fully satisfy” the fans and improve the quality — the fate of Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered became clear again. And yes, that’s good news.
Right within the framework of the new State of Play, the publisher not only confirmed: the release will take place in October 2026. But he also named the exact date — October 1. And simultaneously on all target platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on Steam. No exclusive windows.
A trailer was released along with the announcement. Next are the pre—order details. Those who decide not to wait and place an order for any version will receive a retro Red Hare saddle. A fun bonus, but not the only one.
The digital deluxe edition, by the way, is much denser: the base game plus 42 fusion weapons, secret teachings, a wind scroll and a tiger amulet. In addition, a collection of concept art of officers and 42 retro costumes. Therefore, Koei Tecmo is really determined to make this remaster an event.

Gameplay Review of Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered
The fresh video, timed to coincide with the release date, turned out to be a beautiful cut. Koei Tecmo has unfolded the entire mechanics of Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered in front of the audience — and there is something to see.
Muso Mode the Call House combat system and new scenarios of the Three Kingdoms
The first thing they showed was the legendary “Muso” mode. Without him, you know, nowhere. But the main feature is the Call House function. The phrase seems unnatural, but it works easily.: you cut through the crowds of enemies with a sword, simultaneously using “Dodge” and “Counterattack”. The “Charged Attack”, “Power Block” and its exact version are used. It looks dynamic.
Side scenarios flashed by separately. Three pieces: “The side Story of the Legend of Wei: The Battle of Chibi”, “The side Story of the Legend of Wu: The Battle of the Wuzhan Plains” and “The side Story of the Legend of Shu: The Siege of Hefei Castle”. Fans of the “Three Kingdoms” — that’s it, they immerse themselves deeper into a familiar universe.

The developers also confirmed the free mode. Usually you choose your favorite officer and wander around the battlefield without looking at the plot. Plus, the “Against all” and “Challenge” modes are for those who don’t have enough standard missions.
Weapon Fusion system and local split screen co op
The new Weapon Fusion system looks like a real highlight. If you combine different weapons, you get an ultimatum. No details, but it sounds tempting.
Alone, please. But you can also use another option: local split-screen co-op for two players. Without the Internet, the old-fashioned way.

Video editor system settings and the appearance of a hero from Origins
The intro editor and system settings were highlighted in the trailer. It’s a small thing, but it feels good. And — attention — Ziluan, the main character of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, appeared. That’s how the collaboration works within the series.

By the way, the release dates of Silent Hill: Townfall, Control Resonant, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and a couple more titles were shown on the same State of Play. But the main thing for us is that Dynasty Warriors finally got a clear date and a bunch of details. We are waiting for October.
System Requirements Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered on PC on Steam
Koei Tecmo keeps the official system requirements a secret for now — the “TBD” stub is hanging forlornly on the Steam action page. But we already know the main thing: the entire roster of officers and locations has been rebuilt using the Unreal Engine 5. This fact is quite enough to estimate the real load on your hardware.
The nearest technical reference point is easy to find. This is Dynasty Warriors: Origins, released in January 2025 on a similar version of the engine. To get the basic 1080p/30 fps at a minimum, there was enough of a bundle of Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600, plus 12 GB of RAM and cards of the GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 590 level. Requests for 1080p/60 fps at high settings predictably grew: Core i7-10700K or Ryzen 7 5700X, 16 GB RAM and GPU class RTX 2070 / RX 5700 XT.
Apparently, DW3 Remastered will be more voracious. Extras from hundreds of mobs, heavy UE5 models, and redesigned lighting will do the trick. The consumption of the game will definitely go up — the starting 16 GB of RAM looks like the most realistic scenario.
This table is an analyst based on Origins and the usual approach of Omega Force studio. The exact specs will appear later.
Of the confirmed PC port features, the Steam page and trailers have already highlighted 4K Ultra HD support along with ultra-wide monitors. They will bring several upscaling technologies, honest HDR and full customization of the mouse and keyboard layout. Of course, you can play from any popular gamepad. The only strict requirement for the software is a 64-bit OS.
Koei Tecmo usually rolls out the final specifications two to three weeks before launch. It is most convenient to monitor updates directly: store.steampowered.com/app/3841510 .
