From the Oldest House to the Streets of Manhattan: The Context of the Demonstration
The footage shown appears to be from the early stages of the gameplay. Players were shown the moment when protagonist Dylan Faden leaves the anomalous Oldest House and finds himself on the streets of New York City.
The city is overrun by otherworldly entities, but the protagonist remains unfazed in the face of the threat. The action unfolds rapidly: the open space of Manhattan dramatically changes the overall dynamic. Gone are the cramped corridors, and the pace of the action is significantly more aggressive compared to the events of the first game in 2019.
How the combat system has changed: Control vs. Control Resonant
The change in protagonist isn’t just a plot twist. The transition from Jesse Faden to her brother, Dylan, completely restructures the combat system. In the original, we played from a distance: Jesse actively threw objects with telekinesis and shot enemies with the transforming Service Weapon.
Dylan, however, is a contender for the title of the most brutal protagonist in the studio’s history. The new hero masters close-quarters combat, instantly closing in on enemies and unleashing spectacular combos. His supernatural abilities are tailored for continuous offensive play.
New modular weapons are used to control the battlefield. Like Jesse’s iconic arsenal, they can change shape on the fly, adapting to close-quarters combat or area-of-effect attacks.

Dylan’s Exclusive Skin and the Game’s Technical Status
In addition to the mechanics breakdown, the F event showcased an alternative outfit for Dylan, created specifically for the Chinese audience. The outfit features a vibrant color scheme, a distinctive decorative belt, and a sash slung over the shoulder. This visual innovation gives the protagonist a completely different look.

Gameplay demonstrates a high level of technical readiness using the Northlight engine: destruction effects and lighting look like systems polished to a high shine ahead of the fall release.
