João “matios” Guedes is one of the most stable and recognizable players on the Brazilian Counter—Strike 2 esports scene. Over the years of his professional career, he has played about 400 matches, earned more than $23,000 in prize money, and managed to feature in many prestigious tournaments, including PGL Astana 2025, where his team took 9th place. Today, matios defends the colors of ODK (ODDIK), the team with which he has his brightest moments in esports. He has won over 30 prizes, including 11 wins, 10 silver and 9 bronze medals. Such a result is an indicator of stability, fighting character and the ability to keep a level on the highest stage.

Game statistics and recent matches

In his recent performances, matios has demonstrated a confident individual level — high ADR, stable K/D and excellent shooting accuracy (HS%). His contribution to the CCT Season 3 South America series was particularly notable, where he repeatedly ranked in the top in terms of damage and percentage of duels won. Even in difficult matches against rivals such as KRU, FUR, AUR and G2, the Brazilian remained in the center of events, showing a confident game and competent positioning. His stats speak for themselves — matios knows how to adapt, adjust to the meta, and stay focused even in tense clutch situations.

Career: from the first steps to Major level tournaments

João Guedes' professional career began in 2021 with performances for SWS Gaming. His debut at CBCS Elite League Season 1 brought the team the ninth place — a modest start, but a month later he and the team took the 5th position at the Gamers Club Liga Série A April 2021, which was the first serious success. During his career, matios represented seven different teams, including SHK, INTZ, B4 Esports and feA. However, it was at ODK (ODDIK) that he truly revealed his potential: more than 280 matches played, thousands of frags and dozens of hits in the top 3 tournaments of the region. Transitions between organizations show that the player was constantly looking for optimal team chemistry, improved individual training, and sought to develop game synergy. This approach allowed him not only to stay afloat, but also to become one of the most prominent players in South America.

Tournaments and achievements

Matios has about 90 tournaments at various levels, from regional online leagues to major international events. Among the latter are:
  • ESL Challenger League Season 49,
  • CCT Season 2 South America Series #7 and #8,
  • FiReLEAGUE Buenos Aires 2025,
  • PGL Bucharest 2025.
The results at these tournaments were mixed, ranging from 3rd place to no prize positions. This only confirms that competition in CS2 remains extremely high, and stability is the main indicator of skill. Nevertheless, matios continues to strengthen his position in the professional scene, remaining a key player in his team and an example for young shooters.

Why matios is an important figure for the Brazilian scene

Guedes not only demonstrates a high level of mechanical skill, but also differs in game intelligence — the ability to read the map, coordinate actions and create space for teammates. His style of play combines aggression and cold calculation, and stability makes him a valuable part of any team. In a world where every pixel and every millisecond decides the outcome of a round, Matios remains a player who knows how to keep his cool and turn even minimal chances into victory.
