BaiSha Gaming beat Team Liquid 3-0 in the CrossFire final at the 2026 Esports World Cup. The Chinese team won Black Widow, New Compound and Ankara without allowing a fourth map.

BaiSha earned 750,000 dollars and 1,000 club points. Wang “N9” Hao received the player award after a strong tournament.

BaiSha controlled Black Widow from the start

The opening map ended 10-1 because BaiSha won the early exchanges and kept Team Liquid from building enough money for a stable response. A large first-map defeat can affect communication, but Liquid still had to prepare immediately for New Compound. The final format left little time for a long review.

BaiSha used the advantage to keep its decisions simple. The players did not need risky individual moves when their positions already covered the main routes.

New Compound followed the same direction

BaiSha won the second map 10-4. Team Liquid found more rounds than on Black Widow but could not stop BaiSha from reaching match point. The Chinese team traded players effectively. When one member entered a defended area, another was close enough to answer after an elimination.

Liquid needed consecutive rounds to damage BaiSha’s economy. The required run never arrived, and the deficit became too large.

Ankara completed BaiSha’s strong final

Team Liquid began Ankara with better signs, but BaiSha remained calm and won another 10-4 map. The result completed the 3-0 victory. N9 again made an important contribution. His shooting, utility use and decisions in late-round situations supported the team throughout the event.

The player award included a 25,000-dollar prize. It recognised his work across the tournament rather than only one map of the final.

The tournament showed the strength of the Chinese teams

KINGZONE had sent BaiSha to the lower bracket earlier in the event. BaiSha later answered that defeat and reached the final. KINGZONE also won the third-place match 3-0. Those results placed two Chinese teams in strong positions at the end of the CrossFire event.

Team Liquid still finished second and earned valuable club points. BaiSha was clearly stronger in the final and completed every map without a close score.

BaiSha prevented Liquid from building a stable economy

The wide score on Black Widow forced Team Liquid to buy with limited equipment or save for a later round. BaiSha used that pressure to keep the lead moving forward. New Compound showed a better Liquid response, but the team still could not win enough rounds in sequence. One victory followed by an immediate loss returned control of money and momentum to BaiSha.

The final map on Ankara confirmed the difference between the teams. BaiSha had two chances to finish the match and still played directly. The team trusted its positions instead of waiting for Liquid to make every move.

N9 connected individual skill with team structure

The player award recognised strong shooting, but N9 also used grenades and late-round positions to help teammates.

Team Liquid could not find a safe answer to BaiSha’s pressure.

Those actions made his eliminations easier to convert into map wins.

BaiSha did not depend on him entering every site alone. The roster created trades around its leading player, which kept one lost duel from ending an entire round.

Team Liquid can separate preparation from execution

A prepared route can still fail when the first duel is lost. Liquid needed a second call that moved the remaining players without a long pause. BaiSha recognised hesitation and took more space. This made the next Liquid action easier to predict and reduced the value of saved utility.

The runner-up result still provides useful evidence. Liquid can review which opening ideas created fair fights and which left a player alone against several defenders.

BaiSha removed Team Liquid’s room to recover

A three-map final can still contain close rounds, but BaiSha repeatedly won the action that followed the first duel. The nearest teammate was ready to trade, and the remaining players protected the route to the objective.

Team Liquid found openings, yet it often needed too much time for the second call. BaiSha used that pause to take another position and make the next attack easier to predict. The pressure increased as the map score moved toward the title.

The sweep reflects both preparation and execution. BaiSha entered each map with a simple plan and adjusted when Liquid changed its defence. The team completed the series before the opponent could build momentum from a map win.
