Genshin Impact version 7.0 is now active with five areas in Snezhnaya. The update opened Volkodlak Tundra, White Birch Snowgrave, Everfrozen Earth, Flamefeather Valley, and Fellfrost Peak.

Two new Archon Quest acts begin at Adventure Rank 18. Odette and Alyosha join the character roster, while the Traveler gains Cryo abilities. New reactions and exploration systems support the frozen region.

Five regions open the first route through Snezhnaya

Volkodlak Tundra provides the first automatic arrival point for eligible players. Completing the Mondstadt prologue unlocks a nearby Teleport Waypoint. Existing accounts receive that point after installing the update. White Birch Snowgrave and Everfrozen Earth extend the central exploration route. Flamefeather Valley and Fellfrost Peak add further terrain and elevation. Each area contains separate resources, enemies, and local tasks.

The update also adds Snezhnaya Daily Commissions after required story progress. A local Fishing Association offers another exchange point. New fishing locations and Radiant Spincrystals appear across the region. Five named areas provide clear boundaries for early exploration. They do not represent every future part of Snezhnaya. Later versions may open additional territory through separate announcements.

Two Archon Quest chapters continue the main story. Chapter Seven begins with Act One, Everwinter Without Mercy. Act Two follows under the title Wraith’s Nocturne. Both acts remain permanently available after version 7.0. The basic requirement is Adventure Rank 18. Players also complete Song of the Dragon and Freedom from the Mondstadt prologue. Focused Experience Mode supports the new quest route.

Act Two requires completion of Act One. Eligible players may begin Snezhnaya without finishing every intervening Archon Quest. The automatic waypoint reduces the travel barrier. World Quest chains open after additional story moments. Their titles and locations connect with local factions and the frozen environment. Optional quests add context outside the central chapters.

Odette and Alyosha expand available team combinations. Odette is a five-star Cryo sword character from Snezhnaya. She provides off-field damage and repeated Cryo application. Her abilities support Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl reactions. Alyosha is a four-star Electro polearm character. He heals party members while dealing repeated Electro damage. His role combines support and elemental application during rotations.

The Traveler also gains a Cryo form after resonating in Snezhnaya. That form deals damage from outside the active position. It also supports quick rotations and selected on-field attacks. These additions connect character kits with the new reaction system. Team value still depends on equipment and rotation. A new character does not replace every established option.

Stellar Swirl produces a delayed Cryo explosion

Stellar Swirl begins when Anemo and Cryo meet under the required conditions.

The reaction deals Anemo damage and creates a Stellar Vortex. Only one vortex remains active in the same area. The vortex explodes after a short delay and deals area Cryo damage. Repeated Stellar Swirl reactions increase its level and blast radius. Additional triggers also allow an earlier explosion.

The explosion briefly grants nearby characters one higher jump. Certain characters receive further benefits through the Radiance effect. These interactions add movement beside direct damage. Two new artifact sets support the wider Stellar Glimmer system. Scarlet Proof focuses on attack and critical rate. Heart of the Furnace increases team reaction damage after qualifying effects.

Which version 7.0 addition are you exploring first?

The Eye of Graeae helps travel across Snezhnaya. The Eye of Graeae appears as a device found during the Snezhnaya story. It calls a train for travel between cities. Players also craft items and collect Daily Commission rewards aboard the train. The device creates Prime Ice Constructs throughout supported open-world areas. These structures assist exploration and leave materials or messages for other players. Helpful constructs receive likes from visiting users.

A Snezhnaya Adventure Journal records regional progress and unclaimed rewards. It also lists unfinished exploration content. The journal opens after progress through the first Archon Quest act. Map limits increased beside these regional systems. Players now store 350 map pins instead of 300.

Inventory and artifact capacity also received larger limits.

Spiral Abyss uses enemies from version 7.0. The first version 7.0 Spiral Abyss update began on 16 August. Floors Nine through Twelve received revised enemies and effects. Several bonuses focus on Cryo and the new Stellar reactions. Floor Nine increases Stellar Swirl damage by fifty percent. Floor Ten increases Stellar-Conduct damage by the same amount. Floor Eleven grants large Cryo and Pyro bonuses.

Floor Twelve separates bonuses between its first and second halves. The first supports Superconduct and Stellar-Conduct. The second increases normal attack Pyro damage. These effects belong to the current Abyss period rather than every game mode. Open-world teams follow normal reaction values. The next scheduled Abyss update arrives on 16 September.

Version 7.0 changes several game systems

Character development items and related inventory categories now hold 2,600 entries. The previous combined limit was 2,300. Artifact storage increased from 2,400 to 2,700. The map now supports fifty additional pins for local resources and routes. Selected quest objectives also provide direct map teleportation. The first supported quests appear inside version 7.0.

Maintenance compensation included 300 Primogems for eligible accounts. Another 300 Primogems covered issue fixes. Each reward followed its own account and claim conditions. Genshin Impact version 7.0 launched on 12 August. Its active content now includes Snezhnaya exploration and the revised Abyss. Those systems provide distinct tasks instead of one repeated event.
