The console release of the racing spin-off from the creators of the hardcore simulator has finally received a firm date. iRacing Arcade will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 21st—iRacing.com publisher Motorsport Simulations and Original Fire Games confirmed this, with no hint of a delay. The retail price is $24.99, and this is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
The project first appeared on PC via Steam on March 3rd, 2026. And since then, Original Fire Games—the same team that brought us Circuit Superstars and Karting Superstars—hasn’t been idle. The console versions received more than just a direct port.

iRacing Arcade Console Features: Split-Screen and New Cars
The main addition, highlighted in the extensive patch notes, is local split-screen multiplayer for two players. In an era when developers are abandoning this mechanic en masse, iRacing Arcade is bucking the trend. And it makes sense: the arcade nature of a game with controller physics encourages couch racing far more than complex simulations.
Furthermore, the console release features four new licensed cars: the Porsche 963 GTP, BMW M Hybrid V8, Ferrari 296 GT3, and Mazda MX-5 Cup. It also features five additional tracks: Watkins Glen International, Daytona, Sebring, Road Atlanta, and Circuit of the Americas.
PC owners won’t be left out—all these new features, including split-screen, will arrive via a free update on the same day.
Arcade Physics and iRacing Style on a Gamepad
iRacing Arcade isn’t just a console shorthand for the main simulator. The developers took the recognizable cars and tracks from the world of iRacing and transformed them into stylized, almost cartoonish versions. Cute visuals coexist with serious mechanics: fuel consumption, tire wear, damage, and pit stops—all of these remain. It’s just that the controls are now optimized for a gamepad, and the physics model is designed to be mastered in a couple of races and endlessly improveable.
iRacing Arcade Career: Management and Campus Building
The main highlight of iRacing Arcade is its career, which exceeds the depth you’d expect from an arcade racing game. Players start in the lower leagues and work their way to the top of the motorsports scene. But between races, there’s full-fledged management.

You build a motorsports campus with garages, engine and body shops, and research buildings. Each building provides in-race bonuses, such as boosts and performance upgrades. No two campuses will be alike: the buildings are fully customizable, and you can add parks, museums with trophies, and other decorative elements.
Team management is also in the player’s hands—hire drivers and send them to events you don’t want to participate in person. Online, there are races with up to 12 players at a time and global leaderboards with weekly rotating events.
iRacing Arcade release date and price for PS5 and Xbox
The console release is August 21, 2026, for $24.99. PC owners will receive a free update with all the new content on approximately the same date. And yes, the trailer is already available below—it clearly demonstrates how the cartoonish cars confidently traverse Imola and Mexico City.
