Honkai: Star Rail 4.5 is bringing two SP characters, the first of which is Robin • Summeretto. This is a fully-fledged new unit, not just the summer skin of the singer from the Family: Wind Element, Memory Path, and a completely reworked kit built around summoning Memospirits and the Vibe mechanic. The release is expected on August 25–26, 2026, depending on the server. If you’re hoarding Star Jades, now’s the time to prioritize, as Aventurine • Waveflair is also announced in the 4.5 banners, following Summeretto.

Summeretto Release Date and Patch 4.5 Banners

The official teaser for “Variations on a Cosmic Tour” has confirmed that Robin • Summeretto will be appearing in the first phase of Patch 4.5. The estimated server dates are as follows:

  • North America — August 25, 2026, 22:00 (UTC-5)
  • Europe — August 26, 2026, 04:00 (UTC+1)
  • Asia — August 26, 2026, 11:00 (UTC+8)

The first phase of the banner will run from August 25 to September 16, during which Summeretto will be available. In the second half (September 16 – October 6), the banner will change to Aventurine • Waveflair — a Quantum-based character from the Path of Joy with a focus on follow-up attacks.

If you miss Summeretto now, no problem; characters of this level will return to the banner schedule when the cycle reaches its re-run. But you’ll likely have to wait more than one patch.

Summeretto Skill Set and Vibe Mechanic

Summeretto is a five-star Wind-type character on the Path of Memory. Her battle mechanics revolve around accumulating Vibe and summoning three Memospirits—Summer Songbirds.

Summeretto combat abilities overview

How it works step by step:

  • Skill summons the first Memospirit, Bessie. If Bessie is already on the field, it restores 50% of her HP and grants 6 Vibe.
  • Pre-battle Technique grants 6 Vibe and a 30% damage buff to all allies for two turns.
  • Talent: When an ally attacks or uses a heal/shield for the first time this turn, Summeretto gains 1 Vibe (max 50).
  • On a 6+ Vibe, Drammy is summoned; on a 12+, Paddy is summoned.
  • When all three birds are on the field, control is removed, the “Fever” state is activated, and the Zone is deployed.
  • While in the Zone, allies ignore 10% + (Vibe x 0.5%) of the enemy’s Defense. While in the Fever state, Summeretto and the birds are immune to control and don’t waste their turns.
  • Super Ability – Moves the target ally’s action forward 100% and restores 12% of their Energy.

Three bonus Traces:

  • Deflected Chord – Buffs an ally’s attack or critical damage depending on their stats.
  • Improvised Blues – Uses the “Rhythm” mechanic to restore Energy.
  • Restored Harmony – Increases Summeretto and the birds’ Critical Chance by 50%.

Summeretto Action Sequence and Proper Rotation

The ideal Summeretto encounter looks like this:

Start of the fight: Technique → 6 Vibes and a damage buff. Next, activate the Skill and summon Bessie. Now you need to accumulate 6 more Vibes to reach 12. Each ally’s attack grants +1, and healing/shields also grant +1 per turn.

Once you’ve accumulated 12 Vibes, all three birds are summoned, activating Fever. At this point, use your Ultimate on the main damage dealer to force them to move more often and gain energy.

Important: while in Fever, Summeretto doesn’t move or act. All she can do is wait while the birds and allies destroy enemies in the Zone. Therefore, it’s best to use her Ultimate before or immediately after entering Fever to maximize the defense-ignoring buff. Tip: Don’t get hung up on timing—activating Fever too early, without your ultimate, will miss out on some potential damage. The main goal is to build up 12 Vibe, ult the damage dealer, and only then activate Fever.

Best Units and Synergies for Summeretto

Summeretto is a support with powerful team-wide buff potential. To utilize her mechanics, you need allies who frequently attack, heal, or shield—each such act grants +1 Vibe.

Key Vibe synergies:

  • Attackers—characters with follow-up attacks or frequent skills (Aventurine, Waveflair, Topaz, any polymath with frequent attacks).
  • Healers—those who heal every turn (Huohuo, Luocha, Gallagher).
  • Shielders—those who shield (Aventurine, Cheetah, March 7th).

Best teammates for Summeretto:

  • Aventurine • Waveflair – the ideal banner partner; his follow-up attack will generate Vibe almost every turn.
  • Huohuo – healing + energy, excellent support for Memory-based lineups.
  • Topaz & Numby – frequent attacks and follow-up damage.
  • Ruan Mei – a versatile buffer who will buff the entire team.

In rotation, prioritize Summeretto’s buffs first, then the ultimates of damage dealers in the Zone. She outperforms many supports in terms of synergy with Memory, but requires careful lineup selection – if the team lacks frequent attacks or healing, Vibe will build too slowly.

Comparison of Summeretto and Original Robin

This isn’t “just Robin in a swimsuit.” The original Robin is a Physical character from the Path of Harmony. Summeretto is a Wind character from the Path of Memory.

Parameter Original Robin Summeretto
Element Physical Wind
Path Harmony Remembrance
Role Pure support (buffs, action advance) Support + summon memosprite
Key Mechanic Concert, action advance Vibe, summon three birds, Zone
Main Buff DMG + action advance DEF ignore + buffs through birds

Summary: Summeretto is a new unit, not a replacement for the old Robin. If you already have Harmony Robin, she’s still relevant. Summeretto opens up a new archetype niche for Memory teams and lineups with frequent actions. Who should I choose?

  • Need a universal “all-around” buffer → Original Robin.
  • Play through Memory, Memospirits, and frequent actions → Summeretto will give you more.
