Brawl Stars is in for a major shake-up — Supercell is preparing the final balance update of the month, with Damian as the main target. The fresh brawler has been terrorizing the meta with his near-invincibility for far too long, so the developers decided to “tighten the screws” on April 28, 2026.

Brawl Stars Balance Update April 28, 2026

Damian nerf gameplay changes

According to reliable insiders, the upcoming patch will roll out alongside scheduled maintenance. There’s no official announcement yet, but the list of changes is already circulating online — and it’s making waves.

  • Damian nerf: the character will lose part of his legendary survivability. Developers plan to cut his explosive damage, which currently breaks the balance in literally every other match.
  • Adjustments to other brawlers: a whole batch of heroes whose win rates are out of line will also be affected.
  • Timing: the update went live on April 28 — preparing the community for meta shifts in advance.

Damian became a fan favorite from the moment of release (no surprise given his stats), but the era of his dominance is coming to an end. Supercell clearly intends to bring intrigue back to competitive modes. We’ll see how harsh the final numbers in the patch notes turn out to be — sometimes such tweaks turn an OP brawler into trash overnight.

All Brawl Stars Nerfs April 2026: Numbers and Stats

Damian got hit the hardest — the newcomer predictably caught the brunt of the changes. The developers went through every key parameter of the brawler so he stops being the ultimate win machine.

What Changed for Damian in the April Patch

Damian stats before after

  • Attack and damage: base damage dropped from 1400 to 1000 units, and the wall bounce now hits for 1300 instead of the previous 1400.
  • Mobility: jump range was cut by 30.77% — escaping pursuit or suddenly diving into a crowd will become noticeably harder.
  • Speed and ultimate: super recharge from explosive hits is now twice as slow, and fast charge speed dropped by 6.25%.

Other heroes won’t have it easy either. Sirius lost part of his survivability: HP pool dropped from 7400 to 6800, and his shadow clone now copies only 60% of the original’s HP. Nadja lost half the duration of her gadget (2 seconds instead of 4) and became 12.5% slower at building Hypercharge.

The classics didn’t get a pass either. Bull’s T-Bone Missile gadget now restores only a quarter of his health, and “Tough Guy Star Power” only activates at 30% HP. Crow lost part of the effectiveness of his poison and the bonus damage from “Carrion Crow,” and Chester had his fast charge speed cut by 10%. By the look of it, the meta will become far less aggressive.

Bug Fixes in the Brawl Stars April 2026 Update

Beyond balance, Supercell plans to close out a pile of old loose ends. The priority is server stability, which had been struggling because of Sandy’s visual effects.

Fix list:

  1. Colette: a shield bug that allowed her to return to the fight abnormally fast after taking damage will be eliminated.
  2. Mortis: the dash delay that pros have been complaining about for the last several seasons will finally be fixed.
  3. Shop and interface: duplicate items in the Oddities Shop will disappear, and prestige and battle cards will start displaying correctly.

By the way, elements that were intended only for content creators but accidentally leaked into public access will be cleaned out of the game. Looks like April 28 will bring us a truly clean build with no extra junk. (And that’s clearly for the better.)

Brawl Stars Meta After the Patch: Who Rose and Who Fell

The current Brawl Stars landscape is at risk of being turned upside down — if the balance changes take effect, the familiar roster of favorites will thin out noticeably. Damian will get hit the hardest, as the developers aim to rein in his total dominance in matches. Most likely, the era of “free” trophy farming on this brawler is reaching its logical conclusion.

The reduction in aggression will affect other popular picks as well. Crow and Bull will become less dangerous at range and in head-on clashes, which will force fans of these characters to play more carefully (or just look for a replacement). As for Sirius, his status as a top brawler hangs by a thread. The main feature — clone survivability — is going under the knife, and without that tool, the character risks falling out of S-tier.

Brawl Stars Tier List April 2026 After Nerfs

Before April 28, the solo ranked scene in Brawl Stars lived by clear rules: Sirius dominated the meta through phase shift and Hypercharge, while Damian had been farming trophies practically effortlessly since the first weeks after release. The April 28 patch reshuffled this lineup — and not gently.

S-Tier Brawl Stars After the April 28 Patch

Sirius is formally S-tier — but with an asterisk. Even after the nerf, he holds a high win rate in competitive lobbies: Hypercharge still reshapes any team fight. The problem is that the clone now copies only 60% of the original’s HP, which means it falls apart in seconds under concentrated focus. In solo ranked, Sirius remains a top pick, but only while Hypercharge is active. Without it — pure A, with serious holes against Mortis and Emz.

The patch didn’t touch Mortis at all. He’s the only S-tier that needs no footnotes. The Combo Spinner gadget combined with the Creepy Harvest star power lets you dive a target, get a full heal, and leave before most brawlers can react. In Master League, experienced Mortis players consistently post above 60% wins in Bounty and Knockout. The numbers speak for themselves.

Brawl Stars Tier Table: S A B C After the April Patch

Brawl Stars tier list

Brawler Tier List — Patch Analysis

Tier Brawler Reason for Placement Best Mode Change
S Mortis Mobility + Lifesteal — untouched by patch Knockout, Bounty = Stable
S Crow Instapoison buffed in March hotfix; Top 10 Pick/Win rate Solo SD, Bounty ↑ Buffed previously
S Bibi Nearly impossible to trade with “Buffies” survival buffs Brawl Ball, Hot Zone = Stable
A Sirius Clone nerf (60% HP) hurts survivability in long fights Gem Grab, Heist ↓ Dropped from S
A Emz Poison through walls with no counterplay in corridors Brawl Ball, Hot Zone = Stable
A Damian Damage nerf (1400→1000) and jump range (-30.77%) Solo SD ↓↓ Dropped from S+
B Crow (Off-role) Poison Heal cut from 60% to 50% — noticeable in duels Solo SD ↓ Minor drop
B Bull T-Bone Missile restores 1/4 HP; Star Power only at 30% HP Heist, SD ↓ Lost tanking
B Naija Jar gadget halved (2s); Hypercharge 12.5% slower Solo SD ↓ Major drop
C Chester Fast charge speed -10% hit his core mechanics Solo SD ↓ Dropped from A

Who to Level Up in Brawl Stars After the April 2026 Nerfs

If your goal is trophies in solo ranked after the patch, the logic is short.

  • Mortis — the no-alternative pick for those who want to climb without depending on the meta. Creepy Harvest plus Combo Spinner is the mandatory kit. The patch didn’t touch him.
  • Crow — Instapoison, buffed in the March hotfix, covers the dip from the Poison Heal nerf. In Solo Showdown, he remains a top pick thanks to mobility and poisoning multiple targets at once.
  • Bibi — there are few hard counters in the current pool, and her survivability after “Buffies” hasn’t gone anywhere. A reliable choice for those who don’t want to track every micro-patch.
  • Sirius — only pick him if Hypercharge is already maxed. Without it, he’s just a solid A-minus with predictable weaknesses.

Dragging Damian into solo ranked right now is a direct waste of resources. Three simultaneous nerfs (damage, jump range, ult speed) in one patch turned an OP pick into a solid A-minus, and in places — a B. He won’t climb higher before the next balance cycle. This is exactly how Supercell usually “treats” overtuned newcomers — sharply, with no rehab.

Brawl Stars April 2026 Patch Summary: What Players Can Expect

The April patch is, above all, an attempt by Supercell to bring order to the competitive landscape. The developers focused on two things: targeted weakening of “OPs” and cleaning up critical bugs that were getting in the way of decent gameplay. By the look of it, we’re in for one of the most large-scale balance shifts in a long time.

If the announced changes hold up, the situation in matches will become far more stable. Instead of predictable wins thanks to overtuned heroes, we’ll get a more even pool of viable tactics. For the Brawl Stars esports scene, this is an excellent signal — the meta is finally showing signs of life heading into the summer season.
