Uzbek studio Crosswind Crew has unexpectedly moved up the release date of its co-op sandbox game Windrose. The game will enter Early Access on April 14, 2026—less than a week from now.
Judging by preliminary listings in digital stores, at least 1.5 million players are awaiting the release. This is an impressive number, especially for a project that hasn’t yet been released.
What is known about Windrose? It’s a classic build-create-survive game, but with two key features: the action takes place on both land and sea. You can raise the pirate flag and head for open water, or build a base on the shore if seafaring isn’t an option.

Windrose will be available for purchase in Early Access on Steam or the Epic Games Store. The exact price hasn’t been announced yet, but studios typically offer a 10-20% discount at launch.
