Rugged Garen belongs to the Rift Quest skin line and debuted August 15, 2011 at a price of 750 RP. Its name hints at a rougher, more weathered take on the champion compared to his standard Demacian presentation, trading polish for something sturdier and more travel-worn.

The skin does not include any chromas, so its appearance is fixed as originally released and cannot be recolored. It is still available for direct purchase in the client today, meaning there is no risk of it vanishing from the shop anytime soon, unlike some of Garen’s older cosmetics.
