About Taizan
Taizan, born Ching-Chia Lin, is a retired jungler from Taiwan who competed within the PCS, the Pacific Championship Series that unites teams from across Southeast Asia and the surrounding region. During his active years he suited up for Impunity Esports, and at 30 he now belongs to the generation of players who helped shape the competitive identity of the Pacific scene before stepping away from the professional stage.
Life in the Jungle
The jungle role that Taizan played is defined by movement and initiative. Rather than being tethered to a single lane, a jungler roams the neutral spaces of the map, clearing monster camps for gold and experience while looking for windows to influence lanes through ganks and counter-ganks. It is a position built on tempo, pathing efficiency and objective control, where a well-timed play at dragon or a decisive early gank can reshape the entire course of a match. The best junglers function as the connective tissue of a team, and Taizan’s career was rooted in that constant balancing of farm, aggression and map control.
Signature Picks
His champion identity was expressed through Rek’Sai and Nidalee, two picks that speak to a proactive, high-tempo style. Rek’Sai offers map mobility through her tunnels and strong early skirmishing, allowing a jungler to appear across the map and pressure multiple lanes. Nidalee is one of the most mechanically demanding junglers in the game, rewarding precise spear accuracy and fast clears with enormous early-game dominance. Choosing these champions signaled a player who wanted to set the pace and punish opponents before the game settled.
Legacy in the PCS
Now retired, Taizan leaves behind a career tied to the growth of Taiwanese and Pacific competition. Players from his cohort laid groundwork for the region’s structure and helped establish the standards that current rosters build upon. While his active days with Impunity Esports have concluded, his contribution as a representative of the PCS jungle pool remains part of the broader story of how the Pacific scene matured into the competitive region it is today.
