ThunderTalk beat LGD Gaming 2-1 after losing game one

ThunderTalk Gaming defeated LGD Gaming 2-1 in Group Ascend of the LPL third split. LGD won the first game, but ThunderTalk controlled the next two.

Junhao received the series award after helping ThunderTalk win games two and three. Heru recorded eight kills in the deciding game.

LGD won the opening game

LGD built the first game around strong damage from Shaoye’s Corki. The bottom laner finished with nine kills and only one death. Tangyuan also remained safe on Cassiopeia and supported the later team fights. LGD gradually moved from early control toward a larger gold advantage. ThunderTalk found eight kills but could not match LGD’s pressure around structures. Its attacks often began without enough damage positioned nearby.

Crisp helped LGD connect the front and back lines with Rell. His engages created space for Corki and Cassiopeia to attack from safer positions. LGD completed the opening map after almost 35 minutes. The team ended with a clear advantage in kills and structures. That opening result placed ThunderTalk under immediate series pressure. Fearless rules also removed several champions used in the first game.

Junhao helped ThunderTalk win game two

ThunderTalk selected Pantheon for Junhao in the second game. The pick gave him direct access to fights across different parts of the map. LGD used Vi in the opposing jungle, but ThunderTalk created the better early connections. Junhao joined lanes quickly and helped Heru’s Ryze reach strong positions. Heru recorded eight kills, the highest total on ThunderTalk. Feather’s Shen protected teammates and joined attacks from another part of the map.

LGD still found several successful fights during the middle game. Tangyuan’s Ahri remained active, while Burdol used Aatrox to contest space near the front line. ThunderTalk controlled more dragons, towers and other neutral monsters. Its lead then allowed Ahn’s Sivir to attack safely during the later team fights. The second game ended after nearly 31 minutes. ThunderTalk’s 23 kills and stronger structure control levelled the series.

Heru supplied the damage in game three

The final champion selection gave Heru the new champion Locke in mid lane. ThunderTalk paired that damage with Junhao’s Skarner and Feather’s Milio. LGD answered with Syndra for Tangyuan and Qiyana for Heng. The team also selected Draven for Shaoye, looking for an early financial advantage. ThunderTalk denied Draven the early kills and gold required for that plan. Junhao controlled important areas and kept his team together during fights.

Heru then became the central threat during every important fight. He recorded eleven kills and punished LGD whenever its formation separated near a dragon or tower. Feather finished without a death and supplied repeated support through Milio. His positioning allowed ThunderTalk’s main damage dealers to keep attacking. ThunderTalk won the final game in just over 32 minutes. The team took the series after recording 22 kills and eight structures.

Winning games two and three improved ThunderTalk’s position

ThunderTalk entered the series beside LGD near the bottom of Group Ascend. Both teams needed a win to improve their path toward the play-in stage. The victory moved ThunderTalk to two series wins from seven matches. LGD remained on one win after six defeats. Those records do not remove either team from the competition. They do make every remaining series more important before the group schedule ends.

Junhao’s impact covered more than his fourteen total kills. He joined 77 percent of ThunderTalk’s kills across the three games. Feather was involved even more often and supported 44 kills. His work connected the main damage dealers with the player starting each fight. LGD leave the series with proof that their first-game plan worked. ThunderTalk leave with the full result because they adapted better after that defeat.

ThunderTalk completed the comeback in game three

Corki and Cassiopeia dealt most of LGD’s damage in game one. The team protected those picks and used their range to attack structures. ThunderTalk’s second-game response relied on much faster map movement. Pantheon, Ryze and Shen could appear together before LGD completed its own setup. ThunderTalk used a different approach in the deciding game. Skarner started fights, Milio protected the back line and Heru dealt the main damage.

Fearless rules required both teams to change important champions after every game. ThunderTalk handled those changes without losing its basic coordination. The series therefore became more than one repeated plan. Each game produced different conditions, and ThunderTalk solved the last two.
