Team WE complete a 2-1 comeback against ThunderTalk

Team WE beat ThunderTalk Gaming 2-1 after losing the first game by a wide margin. WE answered with two controlled wins and finished the comeback on the deciding map.
Karis received the player award for the series. Cube then produced an unbeaten Yorick performance during the final game.
ThunderTalk dominated the opening game
WE drafted Rumble, Naafiri, Ahri, Varus and Rakan. ThunderTalk answered with K’Sante, Jarvan IV, Ryze, Ziggs and Shen. Keshi controlled the top lane and finished with seven kills without dying. His K’Sante became difficult for WE to remove in team fights. Heru and Ahn added nine kills each. Junhao recorded twenty-two assists from Jarvan IV and connected the successful attacks.
ThunderTalk won the map with twenty-eight kills against twelve. The team also destroyed eight towers and built a large gold lead. WE could not protect its back line once the fights began. Karis found six kills on Ahri but lacked enough space to carry the damage. The first game ended after twenty-eight minutes. ThunderTalk entered the break with the stronger performance and a series lead.
Karis led the immediate response
WE changed its lineup completely under the fearless draft rules. The second game again lasted twenty-eight minutes but followed the opposite direction. Karis became the central player in WE’s attacks. His control around the middle lane helped the team reach side lanes first. About also produced ten kills from Lucian. Erha protected him with Milio and joined twenty-two kills through assists. ThunderTalk struggled to repeat the early pressure from game one. Ahn’s Ezreal could not find the same safe damage around the fights. WE built a lead through stronger lanes and cleaner group movement. The team then used that advantage to control the approaches to the base. The victory levelled the series and removed the effect of the difficult opener. One final map would decide the result.
WE selected Yorick, Pantheon, Sylas, Cassiopeia and Leona. ThunderTalk used Gnar, Wukong, Galio, Syndra and Nautilus. Cube’s Yorick finished with six kills and no deaths. His pressure forced ThunderTalk to defend the side lane before joining the main group. About also recorded six kills without dying. Cassiopeia supplied reliable damage whenever ThunderTalk moved into close range. Karis used Sylas and added four kills with ten assists. He found useful enemy abilities and supported both types of attack. WE destroyed ten towers and finished with twenty-one kills. ThunderTalk managed only nine kills and one tower. The final game lasted thirty-three minutes. WE ended it through the exposed base after winning control of several lanes.
The comeback followed a clear reset
Team WE changed several champions after losing game one. Its carries then received stronger protection during the next two games. Karis gave WE control during the second game. Cube then created a separate problem on the side lane in the decider. ThunderTalk’s opening performance still showed its strength. Keshi, Heru and Ahn had dominated the first map through coordinated fights.
That rhythm disappeared after WE improved its lane pressure. ThunderTalk no longer reached every fight with the better position. Two WE players completed the decider without a death. Their safe damage allowed the team to finish after taking the lead. The 2-1 result added another series win for WE. ThunderTalk left with one impressive map but could not repeat it after the break.

ThunderTalk controlled the opening game
ThunderTalk took the first game before WE could stabilise its lanes. Keshi remained safe on K’Sante throughout the map. Junhao joined the successful attacks from the jungle. ThunderTalk reached the WE base before the series settled into longer fights. WE entered the break one map behind. The team then changed several champions under the fearless draft rules.
Its carries received better protection after that change. ThunderTalk no longer found the same isolated targets. WE levelled the series and forced a deciding game. Karis supplied steady middle-lane pressure during the response. The comeback began with fewer early losses. It ended after WE won two consecutive maps.
WE changed the lane balance after the break
Karis received the series award after WE recovered from the opening defeat. Cube also became important on the deciding map. Cube’s Yorick forced ThunderTalk to defend the side lane. That pressure reduced the numbers available around central objectives. About supplied damage on Cassiopeia when the teams grouped. WE could then continue after winning a late fight.
The fearless format required a new set of champions in game three. Both teams had already removed options through earlier selections. WE secured the later neutral objectives and opened the base. ThunderTalk could not repeat its first-game control. The match therefore turned after the break, not during the opener. WE left with the series after two different winning drafts.
