Karmine Corp beat Fnatic and secure an LEC playoff place

Karmine Corp beat Fnatic 2-0 during the third week of the LEC Summer split. The result secured Karmine Corp a place in the playoffs.

Both games lasted more than thirty minutes, but Karmine Corp held the stronger position around Baron, dragons and river entrances. Caliste finished each game with only one death.

Caitlyn and Bard controlled the first bottom lane

Karmine Corp selected Caitlyn for Caliste and Bard for Busio in the opening game. The pairing created range, movement and reliable control around narrow entrances. Fnatic kept the early stage competitive and found eight champion eliminations. Karmine Corp answered with fifteen and converted more victories into structures. Caliste finished with six eliminations, one death and six assists. Busio remained alive throughout the game and assisted fifteen team eliminations. Their work gave Karmine Corp safer access to the lower river. Fnatic approached Baron and dragon areas through vision controlled by the opposing support.

Karmine Corp destroyed eight towers while Fnatic took two. The structure difference opened deeper paths into Fnatic’s side of the map. The teams traded neutral camps and river control, but Fnatic could not recover the lost lanes. Every missing tower reduced the safe area available for vision. Karmine Corp waited for a favourable fight instead of forcing an early finish. Bard’s control abilities repeatedly separated one Fnatic player from the group. The first nexus fell after thirty-three minutes. Karmine Corp entered the break with a complete game lead and a stable draft plan.

Caliste switched to Kalista for the second game

Karmine Corp changed its bottom-lane champions in game two. Caliste moved to Kalista, while Busio selected Renata Glasc. The new pairing offered shorter range but stronger control during close fights. Kalista could move between attacks, and Renata protected allies from immediate defeat. Caliste recorded nine eliminations, one death and four assists. Busio added sixteen assists and helped Karmine Corp survive Fnatic’s best engagements. Fnatic again reached eight champion eliminations during the second game. Karmine Corp increased its own total to twenty and created a larger tower advantage.

Karmine Corp removed eleven towers during the second game. Fnatic destroyed three before losing access to the final parts of the map. The tower difference mattered more than one isolated fight. Open lanes forced Fnatic to defend several areas while Karmine Corp prepared the next Baron or dragon setup. Renata’s protective ability reduced the reward from Fnatic’s first target. Karmine Corp could continue a fight after one player appeared to be caught. The second game ended after thirty-one minutes. Karmine Corp improved both the champion and structure totals from its opening victory.

The bottom lane remained reliable across two drafts

Caliste used two marksmen with different ranges and movement. He still produced fifteen total eliminations and only two deaths in the series. Busio changed from a roaming support to a direct team-fight protector. His combined thirty-one assists show involvement across both approaches.

Fnatic could not force the pair into repeated mistakes. Even when the first attack reached Caliste, nearby teammates answered quickly. Karmine Corp therefore did not depend on one champion combination. The same players carried their form into a second and different draft.

Karmine Corp destroyed nineteen turrets across two games

Karmine Corp destroyed eight turrets in game one and eleven in game two. Fnatic removed two and three during the same games. The 19-5 structure difference opened every route into Fnatic’s base. It also gave Karmine Corp safer vision around Baron and dragon areas.

Caliste finished the series with fifteen kills and only two deaths. Busio added thirty-one assists across Bard and Renata Glasc. Those totals supported two controlled finishes. The 2-0 victory also confirmed Karmine Corp’s place in the LEC playoffs.

Fnatic could not convert eight kills into enough turret damage

Fnatic finished each game with eight champion eliminations. The repeated total did not create the same tower pressure achieved by Karmine Corp. Two towers fell for Fnatic in game one and three in game two. Karmine Corp removed nineteen across the complete series.

The structure gap explains why Fnatic fought from smaller areas later. Champion eliminations offered temporary relief, while missing towers permanently changed the map.
