Gen.G beat KT Rolster 2-0 in the LCK Legend Group

Gen.G recorded a 2-0 victory over KT Rolster in the LCK Legend Group. No KT player recorded a kill during the twenty-nine-minute opening game.
The complete Gen.G lineup finished the first game without a death. The team recorded eleven kills, eight towers, four dragons and Baron Nashor.
KT recorded no kills during game one
Gen.G selected Shen, Nocturne, Ryze, Kog’Maw and Lulu for the first game. The composition protected Ruler and allowed Canyon to start fights from range. KT answered with Rumble, Vi, Yone, Lucian and Milio. That group had several ways to engage, but it never completed an elimination. Gen.G gathered the first major advantages without forcing constant fights. The team gained gold through minions, towers and neutral monsters.
Canyon used Nocturne to threaten every exposed lane. His ultimate also limited KT’s vision before Gen.G committed to an attack. Kiin’s Shen added another global response. Gen.G could begin a play with one player and quickly bring more support into the same area. KT struggled to reach Kog’Maw through those defensive layers. Ruler finished with two kills and eight assists while remaining untouched.
Every member of the Gen.G lineup recorded a kill or an assist
Kiin recorded three kills on Shen and did not die. Canyon matched that total and added four assists from the jungle. Chovy’s Ryze controlled his lane and moved quickly between fights near dragons and towers. He finished with two kills and four assists. Duro’s Lulu joined ten of the team’s eleven eliminations. His shields and control kept the main damage dealers safe.
Ruler attacked from behind the front line. KT could not eliminate one Gen.G player before another arrived to help. Gen.G held a large gold advantage before ending the first game. The team also destroyed all eight outer and inner towers. KT secured one early neutral monster, but that moment did not become a lasting lead. Gen.G then controlled the dragons, towers and opposing jungle throughout the game.
KT selected different champions for game two
The second game required new champions under the fearless selection rules. Both teams therefore changed how they started fights. KT needed more reliable access to Gen.G’s damage dealers. It also needed stronger lanes before the first dragon and major tower fights. Gen.G did not depend on repeating the exact first-game setup. Its players kept the same patient spacing with different champions.
The winners again avoided isolated battles. They waited until several players could support the same move around the map. KT resisted longer than during the opener, yet Gen.G remained ahead in the important fights around dragons and towers. That control reduced the number of safe areas available to KT. Gen.G could enter the opposing jungle and prepare the next push.
Gen.G won game two and completed the 2-0 series
Gen.G won the second game and completed the series 2-0. The result followed a difficult period earlier in the season. The victory was built on simple advantages. Gen.G protected its main damage dealers, moved first toward dragons and avoided poor fights. KT could not create enough pressure through its lanes. Its attempts to move as a group usually began after Gen.G had taken position.
Ruler’s stable return to the League of Legends bottom lane was important throughout the series. He received protection and chose safe moments to attack. Canyon and Chovy controlled the centre of the map. Their movement stopped KT from attacking one side without risking another area. The 2-0 result also improves Gen.G’s game difference. That number can separate teams with the same number of series wins.

Gen.G won both games without losing control
The most striking number came from the first game, where KT finished with zero kills. Gen.G achieved that without extending the game unnecessarily. The opening map showed how protection can support aggressive damage. Shen and Lulu defended Kog’Maw while Nocturne controlled vision. Game two proved that the result was not tied to one champion selection. Gen.G changed champions and still controlled the series.
KT now have a short turnaround before their next Legend Group match. Their early lanes and positions around dragons were weaker throughout this series. Gen.G leave the day with two game wins and no series loss. Their next opponents will face a team that again looked organised.
Gen.G claimed four dragons and Baron Nashor in game one
Gen.G collected the first neutral advantages and converted them into tower pressure. KT did not find a kill that could interrupt that sequence. The winners entered the final phase with every player still alive on a perfect score. That allowed them to approach the base without protecting a weak member. KT’s Vi and Rumble offered engage, but Gen.G’s Shen and Lulu answered the first contact. Nocturne then separated the remaining players through reduced vision.
The map ended with an eleven-to-zero kill score and a wide gold difference. It was a complete opening rather than one late fight deciding an even game. Gen.G repeated that discipline in game two and completed the series before a third champion selection became necessary.
