Bilibili Gaming beat ThunderTalk and secure a Worlds place

Bilibili Gaming beat ThunderTalk Gaming 2-0 in the LPL Group Ascend. BLG won the opening game in twenty-nine minutes and completed the second in twenty-five. The result secured the team at least the second LPL seed for the World Championship.

Knight received the series award after leading the first victory from mid lane. Xun earned the award for the second game. BLG controlled both drafts without allowing ThunderTalk to extend the match into a deciding game.

Knight led BLG to the opening win

ThunderTalk selected first pick before BLG chose the blue side. The opening draft left Knight with Galio, while Xun played Naafiri. Viper used Ashe and ON supported the team with Seraphine.

Knight connected the side lanes and provided control when BLG entered team fights. His movement reduced the time available for ThunderTalk to attack isolated players. BLG converted that coordination into a twenty-nine-minute win.

ThunderTalk chose champions that could start fights

ThunderTalk used Vi and Rakan to begin fights during the opening game. Ahri provided another source of control from mid lane. The line-up offered clear ways to select a target and follow the first attack.

BLG answered by keeping its players within supporting distance. Galio could join threatened teammates, while Seraphine added protection and control. ThunderTalk rarely found a target that remained alone for long enough.

The second game ended more quickly

BLG reduced the game time by four minutes during the second contest. Xun received the game award after influencing the map from the jungle. His movement helped the lanes prepare attacks before ThunderTalk completed its defensive setup.

A shorter finish did not come from careless pressure. BLG collected the advantages created by its early movement and protected them. The team then entered the opposing base with enough players alive to end the game. Knight and Xun received the individual awards.

Knight received the first game award and the wider series award. Xun took the honour for the second game. Their recognition reflects the connection between mid lane control and jungle movement. Knight provided reliable routes into fights and helped teammates survive the first contact. Xun changed the location and timing of pressure. Together they prevented ThunderTalk from preparing the same defence twice.

The standings changed immediately

ThunderTalk’s defeat confirmed playoff places for Bilibili Gaming, Anyone’s Legend and Top Esports. BLG also secured a World Championship place through the LPL qualification system. Its final seed could still improve through later results. BLG has secured at least the second seed, rather than the final tournament title. Later playoff matches still determine the exact seed and championship position. Both games used version 26.15.

Both games were played on patch 26.15 under the current professional rules. Fearless draft restrictions affected the available champions after the opener. BLG adapted without losing the balance between damage and control. ThunderTalk also changed its available options for the second draft. The team could not produce a game win from those changes. BLG’s wider champion pool supported a direct 2-0 finish.

BLG finished the match without a third game

The first victory established control through Knight‘s movement and team protection. The second relied more heavily on Xun‘s early influence. Different routes produced the same clean match score.

ThunderTalk left without a game win after fifty-four combined minutes of play. BLG left with a confirmed international place and stronger group position. Knight‘s series award recognised the player connecting both performances.

The LPL standings secured BLG’s Worlds place

BLG’s 2-0 victory confirmed its place at the World Championship. The team secured at least the second LPL seed. Later results determine the exact seed and route. The international qualification itself is already complete. ThunderTalk’s defeat also confirmed playoff access for BLG, Anyone’s Legend and Top Esports. Those teams reached the required positions through the complete stage, not through one map. Knight and Xun earned the game awards because of their work against ThunderTalk. The standings consequence came from the series score of 2-0. The two game times show a controlled finish. BLG required twenty-nine minutes for the first victory and twenty-five for the second. The games contained fifty-four minutes of recorded play. ThunderTalk completed two full drafts but lost both decisive finishes.

BLG completed both games on patch 26.15 and won the series 2-0. BLG gained the qualification place through the completed stage result. ThunderTalk remained active in both games but could not extend the series. BLG finished the series without dropping a game. The result also secured the minimum table position required for its international place.
