The Story of Lee Sin
Sight Lost, Purpose Found
Lee Sin lost his eyesight many years before the fights he is known for today, and the loss never became the disadvantage his opponents assume it should be. He trained in Ionia‘s ancient martial arts until he mastered them, channeling the essence of the dragon spirit to meet whatever challenge came his way. Protecting his homeland’s sacred balance became the purpose that replaced his sight, and he has devoted the rest of his life to it without complaint or hesitation. Anyone who reads his calm, meditative bearing as weakness tends to learn otherwise the moment his burning fists and blazing roundhouse kicks actually arrive. He fights the way he trained: on principle, without needing to see an opponent to know exactly where they are.
A Kit Built in Pairs
Nearly everything Lee Sin does comes in two connected parts. Sonic Wave locates an enemy at range, and if it connects, he can immediately follow up with Resonating Strike to close the distance between them. Safeguard rushes him to an ally, shielding both of them if the ally is a champion, and afterward he can chain straight into Iron Will for sustain against physical damage. Tempest sends out a ground-shaking shockwave that reveals whoever it hits, opening the door to Cripple, which slows enemies caught in its wake. His passive, Flurry, rewards this rhythm directly: basic attacks thrown in right after a spell gain attack speed and refund Energy, so a fighter who chains his tools together well never really runs dry mid-fight. Dragon’s Rage, his ultimate, is the one move that stands alone, a single roundhouse kick that launches a target back into anyone unlucky enough to be standing behind them at the time. Spread out and it loses most of its bite; stay clustered against Lee Sin and it rarely misses.
