Zac vs Warwick Counter Pick
Matchup Summary
What the Data Means
Warwick’s kit is written around health thresholds, which is precisely the wrong thing for Zac to face. Eternal Hunger heals on every attack below 50% health and heals harder below 25%, Blood Hunt grants move speed toward and attack speed against anyone under half health, and Jaws of the Beast deals damage based on the target’s maximum health while healing for what it deals. Zac’s 2,538 health at level 18 is a bigger number to bite into, not a safer one. Patch 16.13.1 reflects that at 45.8% across 369 games, graded Hard.
Percentage damage does run both ways. Unstable Matter converts part of an enemy’s maximum health into magic damage, and Warwick‘s 2,303 at level 18 is the smaller pool. The problem is duration: Infinite Duress suppresses for 1.5 seconds, long enough to remove Zac from a fight with no help from Cell Division, and Primal Howl adds 2.5 seconds of damage reduction that blunts the window Let’s Bounce! creates.
Item choices are unusually clear. Warwick deals physical damage behind 65 base attack damage, the higher of the two, so armour components come before anything else. Zac’s magic output meets 32 magic resist on a champion with little reason to raise it. Base move speed favours Zac slightly at 340 to 335, but only outside Blood Hunt. Fighting beside a wall that leaves Elastic Slingshot an escape angle is worth more than any trade won at full health.
