The explanation lies in how each champion is allowed to fight. Hallowed Mist protects her from anything outside it and can only be answered by entering the mist, which is exactly what Sweeping Blade does for free. Yasuo dashes through a target, and nearby minions give him a path back out, so the zone she uses to reset an exchange is the zone he is most comfortable inside. Skip ‘n Slash is her own dash, but it is short and built to begin a fight rather than leave one.

Damage types complicate her itemization more than his. A Thousand Cuts deals bonus magic damage based on target health and heals her for part of it, and Snip Snip! adds true damage in the center of the cone, so her output is mixed while his is flat physical against high armor.
