Featherstorm explains much of it: Xayah leaps into the air, becomes untargetable and throws out a fan of daggers, dodging a charged Piercing Arrow and, more importantly, the immobilise on Chain of Corruption that Varus relies on to start a fight. Clean Cuts makes her attacks after any ability hit everything along their path and leave Feathers, and Bladecaller recalls those Feathers for damage and a root, a threat that persists longer than a single skillshot. The stat lines sit close together: 630 health and 25 Armor at level 1 against 600 and 24, then 2,449 and 96.4 at level 18 against 2,385 and 92, with identical 330 base movement speed and Mana on both sides. Both deal physical damage, so the itemisation race is symmetrical and decided by who lands attacks first. Deadly Plumage adds attack speed and movement speed when she strikes a champion, which is the moment Hail of Arrows needs to already be on the ground.
