The headline interaction is Hijack: Sylas steals an enemy ultimate and casts it freely, and a stolen Riftwalk hands him repeated blinks with damage attached, mobility his own kit only partly provides through Abscond.

Sustain does the rest. Kingslayer is a lunge that heals him against enemy champions, so the extended trades Kassadin needs become one-sided, and Petricite Burst adds a whirl of chain damage after every spell, punishing an opponent forced to stand at 150 units. Sylas finishes at 2,674 health and 117.4 armor by level 18, both ahead of 2,567 and 89, and moves at 340 against 335.
