• Blighted Quiver adds magic damage to basic attacks and its Blight stacks are detonated by his other abilities, so Varus splits his output across two resistance types while Jhin stays fully physical and armor-focused.
• Chain of Corruption is a strong engage tool but a poor answer to being poked, and Varus opens with 24 armor and reaches only 92 at level 18, the softer late body against 103.9.
• Hail of Arrows reduces healing inside the desecrated ground, which matters far more against a sustain composition than against a marksman who never intended to fight inside it.
