NetEase Studio has officially confirmed the release date of the new Lower Manhattan map for the Marvel Rivals heroic shooter — the location will be available to players as early as April 2, 2026 at 05:00 a.m. New York time. The update will arrive just in time: the developers are preparing the ground for the launch of season 7.5, scheduled for April 17th.

Details of the new “Lower Manhattan” map in Marvel Rivals

The new trailer, which is already online, highlights a lot of interesting details — from Jeff Shark’s statue to Wilson Fisk’s campaign posters. The same Kingpin seems to be everywhere here. Players will have to fight not only on open avenues in the shadow of the gigantic Alchemax skyscraper, but also in secret laboratories deep underground. Unstable energy is pulsating there. Vertical gameplay, historical buildings and cramped interiors are an explosive mix for any team. And at the end of the video, Dr. Strange’s cape flashed on the screen. A hint of a new event? Very likely.

What else is NetEase preparing: skins, esports and season 7.5

In addition to the location, fresh cosmetics will be delivered to the game this week. The Invisible Lady and Mr. Fantastic will pick up their new costumes — the Fantastic Four continues to systematically expand their wardrobe in Marvel Rivals. By the way, NetEase has already introduced special kits for partner esports teams. Inside there are custom skins for Deadpool and other bonuses. Fans of “red in tights” will definitely like it.

At the same time, the authors decided to remind about manners: for intentionally disrupting matches, they will now be punished more severely. And that’s right. For reference, the very statue of Jeff the Land Shark refers to the hero who debuted in Marvel comics back in 2015. This intelligent alien shark was once listed in the “Young Avengers” and lived with the superheroine Moon Girl. Now this predator is a full—fledged part of the game world.
