GTA Online started a new Brand Wars event on 13 August. Players choose Team Sprunk or Team eCola and complete eligible activities through 26 August. Community totals determine the winning brand after the event closes.

Odd Jobs, Freemode activities, and Hotring races contribute toward the competition. Individual rewards include clothing, vehicle items, and cash. The event also offers a free Declasse Hotring Sabre.

Players select one of two rival brands

Sprunk and eCola have appeared across Grand Theft Auto for many years. The new event turns that fictional rivalry into a community competition. Each participant supports one brand through selected activities. Choosing a side gives the event a simple shared structure. Identical characters or properties are unnecessary. Players contribute through listed jobs during the two-week period.

Community events work differently from a normal mission. One player’s result joins a much larger total. The final outcome therefore depends on participation across every active region. The event began on 13 August and ends on 26 August. Activity completed outside that window will not affect the listed contest. Rockstar will announce the winner after totals are confirmed.

Several activities add points to the community total. Odd Jobs provide one route for earning progress. Selected Freemode activities also contribute while players remain inside public sessions. Hotring races add a driving option for groups that prefer organised competition. These activities prevent the event from depending on one repeated mission. A player switches formats when one session becomes crowded. Friends also choose tasks that fit their available time.

Hotring races place all drivers inside controlled circuits. Freemode activities create less predictable encounters across Los Santos. Odd Jobs offer shorter tasks with their own requirements.

The event page defines which work counts toward Brand Wars. Only eligible activities add points to the total. Progress notices confirm the contribution inside the game.

Which Brand Wars team did you choose?

The Hotring Sabre is free during Brand Wars

The Declasse Hotring Sabre is free during the event period. The stock car supports the event’s racing theme and brand liveries. It normally belongs inside the Hotring race class. A free vehicle still requires garage space before collection. Players select an available property slot. Selling another stored vehicle is unnecessary when free space already exists.

Number plates and liveries connect the car with Sprunk or eCola. Those items let players display their selected side during races. They do not increase the car’s base performance automatically. The claim window ends with the event unless Rockstar extends it. The in-game store displays the zero price during that period. Later availability may use different terms.

Players earn personal rewards during the community event

Brand Wars includes clothing and vehicle rewards for participating players. Bodysuits provide a visible team colour during group sessions. Plates and liveries extend that choice to selected cars. Players also earn up to GTA$2 million through the event’s listed objectives. The maximum amount requires completion of the relevant conditions. Joining one activity does not guarantee the full total.

Individual progress gives players a reason to participate before the final announcement. The shared result may favour either brand. Players keep the personal rewards they have already earned. Twitch Drops add another reward route during the same period. They require a linked account and eligible viewing time. Those drops remain separate from match or race performance.

Rockstar will verify the final community totals. Live participation changes quickly during the last event days. One region may produce a large increase while another is offline. Early totals therefore do not confirm the winning brand. Rockstar will verify eligible activity before announcing the result. Duplicate sessions or incomplete jobs may not count. The final notice will provide the only confirmed winner.

Players still compare visible support inside public sessions. Clothing colours and vehicle liveries show local preferences. That observation does not represent the full GTA Online population. The event ends on 26 August, but the announcement may arrive later. A short verification period would be normal for a global total. No exact announcement time was included in the event details.

Brand Wars connects several GTA Online activities

GTA Online already contains many jobs and race formats. Brand Wars connects several of them through one temporary choice. It does not replace the normal businesses or story missions. New players focus on available Odd Jobs and the free vehicle. Established players may use existing garages and racing experience. Both groups contribute through the same event window.

The competition remains fictional and limited to two in-game drink brands. It does not involve a real product decision. Rewards and community totals provide the only practical effects. Players have through 26 August to support Sprunk or eCola. Eligible work, personal rewards, and the community result remain separate parts. That distinction keeps the event instructions direct and easy to translate.
