Rockstar has added five Random Transform Races to GTA Online. The update also brings drift upgrades for three cars and higher rewards for selected race playlists.

Two formats change what drivers know
Three Known Unknown races show the available vehicle group before the start. Every listed vehicle appears once, but the order changes during the race. Two Unknown Unknown races hide the vehicle group. A checkpoint may move a player from a road car to a boat or aircraft. Clean approaches become important because each transformation changes speed and handling. The Known Unknown format gives drivers partial information. They can see the vehicle group and know that every listed machine will appear once. What remains hidden is the order. A player may prepare for a boat and an aircraft, but still has to react when either transformation arrives earlier than expected.
Drift Tuning is a separate addition from the Transform playlists. It can now be installed on the Elegy Retro, Coquette and Dominator GTT. The modification changes how those cars maintain a slide and recover their line. Owners still choose whether the paid conversion suits their preferred handling instead of receiving it automatically. Race choice will depend on what a player wants to practise. Known Unknown routes reward planning around a visible vehicle pool. Unknown Unknown routes reward fast adaptation. Drift events concentrate on throttle and steering control in one tuned car. The update keeps those activities separate instead of turning them into one mixed playlist.
The routes use different parts of Los Santos
The Known Unknown courses visit Redwood Lights Track, the Elysian Island docks and the Grand Senora Desert. The Unknown Unknown courses combine land, sea and air sections. A lead can disappear after a difficult transformation. Drivers who know several vehicle types have a better chance of recovering after a slow section. Unknown Unknown removes that preparation. The next checkpoint can change both the surface and the handling model without revealing the group before the start. A strong road section does not guarantee a lasting lead if the next vehicle behaves very differently. Smooth checkpoint entry becomes valuable because a poor angle carries into the transformation.
The three cars also offer different starting points. The Elegy Retro is a compact sports model, the Coquette uses a longer performance-car shape, and the Dominator GTT is built around muscle-car styling. Adding the same tuning category to all three lets players compare how their weight and wheelbase feel during drift events. The new routes also give groups a reason to rotate events. A crew can begin with a visible vehicle set, then move to the hidden format after learning the transformation timing. Players interested in money can focus on the active reward list. Drivers interested in handling can use the same week to compare the three newly supported drift cars.
Three cars receive Drift Tuning support
The Annis Elegy Retro, Invetero Coquette and Vapid Dominator GTT can now use Drift Tuning. The paid modification changes each car’s response during a controlled slide. Random Transform Races pay triple GTA dollars and RP during the weekly event. Rockstar also scheduled a larger bonus for selected Drift and Transform Races from 28 to 30 August. The three named land areas create distinct courses. Redwood Lights Track offers a racing circuit, Elysian Island uses the industrial docks, and the Grand Senora Desert provides wide open ground.
The two hidden routes add sea and air travel. Together, the five races test more than one familiar class of GTA Online vehicle.

Triple GTA dollars and reputation points apply to Random Transform Races during the weekly event. The additional 28-30 August bonus covers selected Drift and Transform activities for a shorter period. These reward windows overlap, but they do not mean that every race in the game receives the same multiplier. Transformation races also change the value of a perfect starting vehicle. A driver may build an early lead on asphalt and then lose time in the air or on water. The format rewards broad control across classes. It gives experienced crews a different challenge from repeating one circuit with one fully upgraded car.
