PlayStation has revealed two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI. The white model uses the brighter side of Vice City as its theme, while the black model draws on the city’s nightlife. Both have a colour-shifting surface, molded palm-tree details and official GTA VI branding. Pre-orders begin on 10 September in supported regions, with release starting on 19 November alongside the PS5 game.

The two versions share the same hardware purpose
The white and black models use different visual themes, but PlayStation presents both as DualSense wireless controllers for PS5. The white edition represents daytime beaches, pastel skies and the lighter side of Vice City. The black edition uses the city’s night-time energy. Neither announcement claims that one model has a stronger battery, different buttons or an exclusive GTA VI mission. The palm-tree detail is part of the shell
Sony says the palm-tree pattern is molded directly into the controller. That gives the detail a physical element instead of making it only a printed image. Official Grand Theft Auto VI branding appears alongside the finish. Product photos should still be read as promotional lighting: a shimmering surface can look different under a room lamp than it does in a studio image. A buyer concerned about texture or colour should inspect official close-ups and retailer return rules before ordering. No protective case or charging stand is included in the announcement.

Black and white have different sales routes
The white edition is planned for limited quantities through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. The black edition is exclusive to PlayStation Direct in regions where that store operates, while selected retailers can carry it in other regions. This distinction matters because a search result from another country may show stock that cannot be shipped to the buyer. PlayStation lists Direct availability in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy and Austria. Portugal uses a separate PlayStation hardware store route.
Pre-order times depend on location
Orders through PlayStation Direct begin at 7:00 a.m. Pacific or 10:00 a.m. Eastern in the United States on 10 September. The named European Direct markets begin at 10:00 a.m. local time. Retailers can use their own pages and stock procedures. Opening every store at one converted global minute would therefore be inaccurate. Buyers should confirm the page for their own country, sign in beforehand and check payment details without relying on unofficial resale listings. Limited quantity does not justify sending account credentials to a third party.
The price is a recommendation, not a universal converted amount
PlayStation lists recommended prices of 84.99 US dollars, 84.99 euros, 74.99 British pounds and 12,480 Japanese yen including tax. Taxes, retailer decisions and local availability can change the final amount elsewhere. Comparing currencies without regional tax rules can make one price look unfairly high or low. The exact launch date can also vary by country. A correct product listing should identify the region and seller rather than copy one number across every market.
The controller features support the game but do not define exclusive content
Sony says GTA VI uses haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to respond to action and provide changing resistance. Those are standard DualSense capabilities used by the game, not proof that the limited shell unlocks extra functions. A regular compatible DualSense should still provide the supported feedback. The themed models package that hardware in a Vice City design. Players who already own working controllers can therefore separate a collectible purchase from the ability to play.
The game itself is scheduled for PS5 on 19 November.
