Call of Duty has outlined Season 06 for Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The Haunting will change several familiar locations, add two multiplayer maps and open the Tenshu survival map in Zombies. Warzone receives Haunted Hollow and a 64-player version of Giant Infected, while Endgame moves to a night version of Avalon. Four weapons arrive through the Battle Pass, events and weekly challenges. The update launches on September 17 at 9 a.m. Pacific time on every supported platform.

Haunted Hollow changes more than the lighting

Haven’s Hollow becomes a darker version of the Resurgence map, but the update also changes movement and looting routes. A ghost train appears only after players bring it back into reality. Supply boxes, a buy station and a mystery box are available on board. The lumbermill is burning, the pond has drained and the mansion contains a gravity disturbance. Squads that enter with an old route should slow down for the first matches. Several landmarks still look familiar, yet the safest path between them may no longer be the same.

Giant Infected gives both sides a clear objective

Eight of the 64 players begin as infected. Survivors collect DNA samples, improve fixed loadouts and try to build and detonate a bomb. A survivor who is defeated and not revived joins the infected side. Infected players can sprint without a limit, climb quickly, jump away from walls and avoid damage from falls. They also gain stronger movement and health upgrades over time. This structure prevents the mode from becoming a simple elimination match. Survivors must keep gathering samples, while infected players can win by stopping the bomb before detonation.

Area Main addition
Multiplayer Quantum and Bloodstead maps
Zombies Tenshu survival map and expanded Rogue Run
Warzone Haunted Hollow and 64-player Giant Infected
Endgame Avalon at night and Forbidden Summoning
Weapons TR51 Para, VMP, Arcblade and Roc 20mm

Quantum rewards control of the central tower

Quantum is a medium 6v6 map built around an Arctic computing facility. Exterior lanes cross the courtyard, square and catwalk, while the interior compresses fights around servers, maintenance rooms and a frozen turbine. Damage to the building has opened parts of the tower roof and created another concealed route through the center. Players who stay on the same angle will be exposed to attacks from above or a flank. A useful first plan is to learn one route around the outside and one exit through the interior before trying risky shortcuts.

Bloodstead turns Homestead into a close-range horror map

Bloodstead keeps the basic shape of Homestead but changes its visual signals and atmosphere. Blood covers the water, zombies occupy the edges and several rooms contain new horror details. The familiar layout should help experienced players, although dark corners can hide movement that was easy to read in daylight. Teams should call locations by their established names and avoid inventing new labels for every decoration. Clear communication matters more than reacting to the scenery when an opponent crosses a known doorway.

Tenshu is a compact survival test

The Zombies crew fights inside the central keep of Kowakujo. The map includes the entrance, baths, war room, storage spaces and workshop, with perks, wall weapons, the arsenal and mystery box placed around the confined route. Round milestones grant an emblem, a charm and GobbleGum rewards. Directed Mode also arrives for Rex Infernus with visible quest steps and a round cap of 15. Players choosing Tenshu should agree on a route early because blocked stairs and narrow rooms make it difficult for four teammates to retreat in different directions.

Rogue Run adds stronger late-run choices

Three pedestal rewards expand Rogue Run: Pack-a-Punch Tier IV, an Ultra-rarity weapon upgrade and Golden Armor that restores plates over time. Casual and Hardcore playlists also open for Paradox Junction and Kowakujo. These additions create a clearer choice between a safe build and a run that depends on reaching later reward tiers. Golden Armor reduces repeated plate management, but it does not protect a player who is trapped. A balanced squad still needs tools that slow groups of enemies, steady damage and a reliable way to create space.

The four weapons cover very different jobs

The TR51 Para is an assault rifle, the VMP is a compact submachine gun, the Arcblade fills the melee slot and the Roc 20mm is a special weapon. They are distributed through the Battle Pass and seasonal activities rather than one single unlock path. Players should check the exact challenge before planning a loadout. The shortest unlock is not always the best first choice: a Warzone squad may value a dependable rifle, while a Zombies player may prefer an option that supports a specific round strategy.

A short ranked season changes the value of early matches

Multiplayer Ranked Play and Resurgence Ranked Play return with seasonal rewards, but both have a shorter window. Warzone will also test changes to Skill Rating gains in Diamond and higher ranks. The goal is to make progress reflect performance more closely and limit rating inflation near the Top 250. Competitive players should use the opening days to understand the tuning before chasing volume. A small sample can be misleading, especially when new maps and weapons are changing the decisions inside each match.
