Activision and Treyarch have rolled out a fresh playlist update for the beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 — and it definitely won’t be boring here. The long-awaited Face Off 6v6 mode has been added to the game, tailored for fast, intense matches, where reaction, positioning and teamwork are crucial. The format of the small formations makes each shootout especially acute. Plus, there are two new Strike format maps, so players have a lot to look into and learn.

At the moment, the beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available as part of early access — for Xfinity Rewards participants and anyone who pre-ordered. The most devoted fans can already break into the game, try out the innovations and get a feel for how the new part of the series lives. But it won’t be long now: the beta will open to everyone very soon. This means that everyone will be able to personally evaluate the latest content and join the general movement. As the test progresses, the developers promise new updates and improvements to keep the gameplay lively and diverse. Judging by first impressions, Black Ops 6 successfully combines the familiar Call of Duty formula with new ideas and may well become one of the most exciting releases of the franchise. So we keep our finger on the pulse — there are still a lot of interesting things ahead.

Dive into the Early Access beta of Black Ops 6

Early access to the Black Ops 6 beta started on August 30, just a couple of days after the high—profile Call of Duty NEXT event. This is a great chance for players to understand the mechanics and features of the game in advance before the official release. One of the most notable features was the training area, where the new Omnimovement system is shown in detail. It significantly increases the mobility and smoothness of control, allowing you to navigate the map more flexibly and inventively.

In addition to training, a limited set of basic modes is available in beta. You can not only shoot in them, but also level up to level 20 on the first weekend. For fans who like to go into the release fully armed, this is a real gift — there is time to get used to the pace, weapons and tactics. Treyarch, in turn, was warned in advance: playlists will be updated regularly, so that the test period will not turn into a routine.

The latest update has just added the Face Off 6v6 mode, a dynamic format with an emphasis on small teams. Familiar modes like Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed are available here, but with an important caveat: Scorestreaks are disabled. Due to this, each match becomes more honest and intense, where everything is decided by personal skill and teamwork. On the first weekend, players can try Face Off Team Deathmatch and Face Off Kill Confirmed, which are fast, action—packed modes without too much hype.

Dive into the Exciting Early Access Beta of Black Ops 6

Under Face Off, new Strike cards were created – Pit and Gala. These are compact locations with narrow passageways, good viewing points, and constant movement. There are practically no “empty” moments here: collisions occur regularly, and success directly depends on how quickly the team adjusts to the situation. Each map requires its own approach, forcing you to experiment with tactics and roles.

A separate advantage of beta is the ability to directly influence the final version of the game. The players actively share their feedback, and the developers take them into account, gradually polishing the balance and mechanics. This format creates a sense of lively dialogue and engagement: you are not just testing the product, but participating in its formation.

There is already a lot of excitement around Black Ops 6, and early access is great for fueling interest. Players exchange tactics, discuss innovations, and gradually hone their skills. Treyarch continues to release updates and collect feedback, striving to preserve the spirit of the classic Call of Duty and at the same time bring something new. As a result, the beta of Black Ops 6 is a rich and invigorating experience that makes it clear what to expect from the full version. Omnimovement, Face Off 6v6 and new Strike maps set a high tempo and promise a lot of adrenaline. Regardless of whether you are a veteran of the series or just starting to get acquainted with it, there is definitely something to cling to at this stage of early access.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Playlist Update Adds Face Off and Two Strike Maps

The Pit map takes players to an unusual location — a small section of a Russian mine laid right through a cave. There is a minimum of lighting here: the only source of natural light is a ventilation shaft under the ceiling, which makes the space look gloomy and a little disturbing. The respawn points are located at the entrance, and it’s easy to navigate the terrain — the inverted trolleys form a kind of path leading to the center of the map. This layout literally pushes for a fast pace and thoughtful positioning, which is ideal for close combat.

Gala, on the contrary, offers a completely different mood. This indoor facility is a building where annual charity events used to be held. American flags hang from the ceiling, and visually the map stands in stark contrast to the harsh atmosphere of the Pit. Despite its compact size, Gala is designed for extremely dynamic gameplay. Gunfights break out one after another as players advance towards the lounge area in the center of the map. The small distance between the opponents makes every fight intense and intense, without pauses and “empty” seconds.

Along with the Stakeout map, which appeared on the first weekend, Pit and Gala complement the set of eight maps available in the Black Ops 6 beta. Each of them feels different and requires a different approach – speed is important somewhere, space control or teamwork is important. Due to this, the gameplay is not boring and constantly pushes for experimentation. And the next stage of testing is ahead: the new playlist update starts on the second weekend of beta, from September 4 to September 9.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Beta Playlist Update Adds Face Off and Two Strike Maps

The developers promise not just cosmetic changes, but really interesting content. In particular, there will be a Face Off version for the popular Kill Order mode. In addition, Gunfight returns, a much—loved mode where personal skill and well-coordinated team play come to the fore. Those who continue to play during the second weekend of beta will have something to do: progress, challenges and exclusive rewards will not go away.

Among these bonuses are The Redactor weapon blueprint with customization options and the Earning Stripes emblem, a kind of badge of honor for active participation in the beta. And these are not just temporary trophies: all the awards received will remain with the players after the release of Black Ops 6, which is scheduled for October 25. So the effort invested in testing will definitely not be wasted.

Interest in Black Ops 6 is growing noticeably, and beta has become an important platform for exploring new mechanics and collecting feedback. Treyarch refines the balance step by step and polishes the gameplay based on the opinion of the community. In this sense, the contribution of the players really matters. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been in the series for a long time or are just starting out — the beta of Black Ops 6 gives everyone something different. A variety of maps, dynamic modes and exclusive rewards create a lively, exciting atmosphere that is easy to get involved in. And with each update, the expectation of a full-fledged release becomes more tangible, making this time especially exciting for all Call of Duty fans.
