Phoveus in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a hero to be seriously feared. He is especially strong against characters with high mobility: all these jerks and teleports are like an invitation to attack for him. His unique set of skills allows him to literally punish opponents who rely too much on jumping and jumping. The main trump card of Fauvus is the ultimate Demonic Force: as soon as an enemy uses dash or blink, he immediately jumps to him, causing tremendous damage and completely disrupting escape plans. The Demonic Intuition passive makes this skill even more dangerous — each movement of the enemy reduces the cooldown of the ulta, which allows Fauvus to break into mobile heroes over and over again. For the subtle heroes of the backline, who are used to escaping through jerks, meeting him often becomes a real nightmare. But even Fauvous has weaknesses.: A number of characters are able to prevent it from opening up and prevent it from gaining critical power on the line.
One of the striking counter—peaks is Chou, nicknamed the Beast of Demacia. His Fighting Spirit ability makes it possible to quickly approach enemies and slow down the pace of Fauvus’ game, preventing him from making accurate jumps. And thanks to Flicker, Chow gets an extra boost, which makes it extremely difficult to predict his actions. Add stun and control to this, and Fauvus loses a significant part of his threat in a team fight.
Grock, the Wall of Agony, will be an equally unpleasant opponent for him. His Mighty Pushback passive accelerates movement and allows him to repel enemies, which makes it difficult for Fauvus to hit his Demonic Force. And the Concussive Blast ulta is able to interrupt Fauvus’ attack and protect his allies, which completely ruins his plan for battle.
There is also Lolita, the Shield Flower. She is able to put up a barrier and block Fauvus’ jumps, depriving him of his main weapon. Moreover, her ultimate Heroic Charge not only stuns Fauvus himself, but can also hook his allies, turning the tables in team skirmishes.

Esmeralda
Another reliable choice against Fauvus on the experience line is Esmeralda. She is one of the most enduring heroes and feels great in long shifts. The trick is that Esmeralda ignores shields, but Fauvus gets them from every skill. Thus, its defensive advantage is negated. At the same time, Esmeralda puts a powerful shield on herself, which helps to survive the sudden rush. Considering that she has no permanent dash skills (except for the ulta), Fauvus has nothing to “punish”. His skill Astaros Eye is also not easy for her to realize, because Esmeralda is able to cast skills in motion. The optimal items against Fovus are Dominance Ice and Athena’s Shield: the former will slow down the opponent’s cooldowns, the latter will help mitigate damage from his magic. All in all, this makes Esmeralda an extremely unpleasant opponent, capable of stopping the Shadow of Terror at an early stage.
But she’s not the only one. It’s worth remembering Chow, Grok, and Lolita again. Their control skills and mobility prevent Fauvus from realizing his strengths and make him much less dangerous.

Cici
The Mobile Legends metagame is constantly evolving, and with it new characters are appearing that complicate life Fauvous. For example, Cici, the Yo-Yo Master. Her style of play is perfect for confronting the Shadow of Terror. She can attack on the move, which means that it is extremely difficult for Fauvus to catch her skills. Qiqi’s constant movements and kiting literally drive him crazy — he just can’t keep up with her maneuvers. On the line, Qiqi is able to methodically exhaust Fauvus, preventing him from dominating and taking easy kills. And her skill Yo-Yo Blitz causes huge damage when fully charged, quickly removing health even from a hardy hero. A competent player will collect stacks on time and punish Fauvus for every mistake. Of Qiqi’s items, *War Axe and Brute Force Breastplate are suitable: they increase movement speed and damage, enhancing her “hit and run” style. All this makes her a real nightmare for Fauvus on the experience line.
However, Qiqi is just one of the possible options. Esmeralda, Chow, Grok, and Lolita also remain strong answers. In addition, a lot depends on the composition of the team and the stage of the game. Sometimes burst teams with high mobility can simply overwhelm a Fauvus, depriving him of key goals. In other cases, the tank frontline is able to calmly survive its onslaught. It all depends on the right choice of characters and strategy.

X.Borg
Don’t forget about X.Borg — another hero which does a great job with Fauvus. His main strength is that he remains resilient even after the destruction of the Firaga Armor. The key to success in this pair is constant pressure through Fire Missiles. By throwing Fauvus from a distance, X.Borg forces him to play carefully and hide under the tower, which prevents him from accelerating and “snowball”. If Fauvus does decide to be aggressive, X.Borg can always replenish his health and armor with Firaga Supplies, nullifying his attempts to break the line. With the acquisition of the fourth level, the advantage only grows: ulta Last Insanity easily finishes off Fovus at half health and maximum heat. The best items are War Axe and Brute Force Breastplate, and if you have a solid advantage, you can take Ice Queen Wand for additional deceleration. If the game is intense, it’s worth considering Immortality for the sake of survival. This flexibility of assembly allows you to adapt to any scenario.
Heavy damage at a distance, stability due to armor, and the ability to adjust to the situation make XBorg is a reliable counterpick. The main thing is not to play alone: with the support of his allies, his pressure on Fauvus increases significantly.
Thus, Fauvous has a lot of opponents who are able to slow down his pace and prevent him from opening up. Esmeralda, Qiqi, Chou, Grok, Lolita, and X.Borg are just the most obvious options. But the choice always depends on the strategy of the team and the specific match. By understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the hero, you can build a competent plan and turn the “Shadow of Horror” into a simple target.
