The Pokemon Company has shown a new trailer for Part 2 of the Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass. The chapter is planned for late 2026 and focuses on additional accessories, recipes and ways to personalize the town built by Ditto. Part 1 introduced the underwater Bubbly Basin area, while the complete pass is structured across three releases. The new trailer is a preview, not a full launch notice. Players should keep their existing town organized and wait for a confirmed date before planning a specific play session around Part 2.

Customization expands the purpose of an established town

New accessories matter most when they support a place that already has a clear identity. Players can prepare by grouping storage, leaving open building space and deciding which part of town needs a new visual theme. Rebuilding everything before the chapter arrives is unnecessary because final recipe requirements are not yet confirmed. A small flexible area gives room to test new furniture without disrupting completed neighbourhoods. Screenshots of the current layout can also make later changes easier to compare and reverse.

Ditto remains the link between building and Pokemon

Pokopia uses Ditto as the player’s character, allowing movement and learned abilities to connect exploration with town design. The expansion should be read through that existing structure. An accessory is not only a separate collectible if it helps the player give Ditto a distinct role in the settlement. New crafting choices can also support spaces built for particular Pokemon. The trailer shows style and direction, while the exact process for obtaining each item should be checked inside the released chapter.

Expansion part Confirmed direction
Part 1 Bubbly Basin and underwater building
Part 2 New accessories and crafting additions
Part 3 Another town in 2027
Platform Nintendo Switch 2
Playable character Ditto

Part 2 follows an underwater first chapter

Bubbly Basin added a submerged town, Water-type Pokemon and the Dive move. That gives the pass a clear first step before the new customization chapter. Players who own Part 1 do not need to complete every decoration before Part 2, but finishing the main requests may prevent access confusion later. The official page should confirm any prerequisite. Keeping one manual record of unfinished requests is more useful than guessing that every old task must be cleared before the next download appears.

A three-part pass needs careful edition checks

The Expansion Pass covers Parts 1, 2 and 3, while the base game remains a separate requirement. Store listings should be read on the same Nintendo account and region used for the game. A bundle image can look like a complete edition even when it contains only downloadable content. Confirm the product name, supported language and account before payment. Families using more than one console should also review Nintendo’s normal sharing rules instead of assuming that a code or entitlement moves freely between every profile.

Late 2026 is a window, not an exact day

The trailer narrows expectations but does not replace a dated launch announcement. Downloads, maintenance and regional store updates should not be scheduled from an estimated date. Following the official Pokemon news page is enough until a specific day appears. This also protects players from videos that attach an invented countdown to official footage. A real release notice will normally state availability, update requirements and access conditions together. Until then, the useful news is the chapter’s content direction.

New recipes should be tested before rare material is spent

Pokopia’s crafting loop encourages experimentation, but some resources take longer to replace. When Part 2 arrives, begin with common materials and one small design. Check scale, colour and interaction before producing several copies. If an item is purely decorative, decide whether it belongs in a public area or a character-focused room. This controlled approach keeps the town coherent and leaves rare resources available for a recipe whose function is not obvious from its icon.

The best preparation is a clean, flexible save

Install current updates, finish any urgent request and leave enough storage space for new materials. Avoid deleting older structures based only on trailer scenes because the released items may work differently in a custom town. A backup through the platform’s supported save system is sensible before a large redesign. Part 2 appears to deepen personal expression rather than reset progress. Players who preserve a stable base will be able to judge the new chapter on its own strengths when the final details arrive.
