The early-download gift has a firm deadline
Anyone who plays Pokemon Champions by Monday, August 31 can claim Dragonite and 100 Quick Coupons from the in-game mailbox. The reward is tied to playing before the deadline, so installing the game without opening it may not be enough. The safest approach is to launch the correct version, reach the mailbox and confirm that both items were received.
Dragonite can be claimed on Nintendo Switch and on the mobile version. Players who use more than one device should check the account and save-linking rules before assuming that separate claims will merge. The official notice confirms availability on both platforms but does not turn one gift into unlimited copies.
Dragonite remains obtainable after the campaign
The deadline applies to the launch gift, not to the existence of Dragonite in the game. The Pokemon Company notes that Dragonite can be obtained through other methods. Missing the mailbox reward therefore does not permanently remove the species from a player’s roster. The bonus is valuable because it provides an immediate character and a supply of Quick Coupons.
This distinction is important for new players. A limited campaign can end while its featured Pokemon later remains available through normal play. The exact effort and timing of another method may differ, so claiming the free version before the deadline is still the simplest route.
Mega Evolution needs a separate stone
Dragonite requires a Dragoninite stone to Mega Evolve into Mega Dragonite. That stone is available through the first season’s Battle Pass. Receiving Dragonite from the mailbox does not automatically add the Mega Stone. Players need to treat the creature and its evolution item as two separate rewards.
The official announcement also says that the Dragoninite stone may later appear in the shop or another area. That leaves a future route open, but it is not a promise of a particular price or date. Pokemon HOME unlocks four other Mega Stones
Chesnaughtite, Delphoxite, Greninjite and Floettite can be received by bringing the matching visitors from Pokemon HOME. The eligible Pokemon are Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja and Eternal Flower Floette that were befriended in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and stored in HOME. Each condition matters, especially the specific form of Floette.
After the visitors arrive in Pokemon Champions, their Mega Stones can be collected from the mailbox. Moving a Pokemon between services can involve account checks, so players should confirm that the same Nintendo Account or supported connection is in use before starting. A missing stone may mean that the visitor or source condition was not recognised.
Quick Coupons support early roster building
The 100 Quick Coupons are the second part of the launch reward. Their value is separate from Dragonite and should be visible as a currency or usable resource after the claim. Players should avoid spending them immediately if they have not yet reviewed the current exchange options. A short look at the available choices can prevent an accidental purchase.
