The compact update fixes a blocked seasonal objective, restores a party route into the Echo of Mephisto fight and corrects several class effects.

One seasonal objective now counts the right dungeons

The Set Fire to the Beacons objective in Season Rank III now counts Escalation Nightmare Dungeons that use the Ruptures affix. Before the fix, a player could complete the intended activity without receiving progress. Version 3.1.3 aligns the objective with the dungeon condition listed by Blizzard.

Players who were waiting on this step should update the game before running another eligible dungeon. The patch notes do not say that every earlier run will be added retroactively. A fresh completion after installation is the clearest way to test the fix. The objective is specific to the seasonal rank and should not be confused with ordinary Nightmare Dungeon rewards. This distinction prevents players from testing the repair in an activity that cannot advance the objective.

Party members can enter the third Mephisto stage

A player who joins an active Echo of Mephisto encounter can now use a portal to reach the third stage. This repairs a party problem where a late or returning member could be separated from the active fight. The change improves access, but it does not remove the encounter’s normal requirements or guarantee a reward for a player who does not meet them.

Groups should still agree on when to begin the boss. The portal is a recovery path, not a reason to start while a teammate is changing equipment without warning. Clear timing saves consumables and reduces the chance that one player enters after a critical mechanic has already begun.

The Corrupted Reaper leaves a cleaner arena

Resummoning the Corrupted Reaper now clears the corpse left by the previous fight. The old body could make the arena harder to read and could create visual confusion during repeated runs. Removing it gives each new attempt a cleaner starting state.

Two class-related visual problems around the same boss were also fixed. Druid Petrify should no longer deform the Reaper’s wings, and Necromancer Shadow skills should no longer hide the enemy. These changes do not increase the classes’ damage. They improve the ability to see the model and respond to the encounter.

Warlock visibility becomes more reliable

The Chain Aura variant of Dark Prison could make a Warlock appear transparent to other players. Patch 3.1.3 corrects that effect. In a party, reliable character visibility helps players understand position, movement and the source of an ability. The fix is visual but still useful during a crowded fight.

Because the problem affected how other players saw the Warlock, the person using the skill may not have noticed it directly. After updating, a group can verify the correction during ordinary play rather than rebuilding the character. No skill reset is required by the patch notes.

War Plans receive a teleport fix

The War Plans option for teleporting to Infernal Hordes could fail on difficulties below Torment. The patch restores that route for the affected settings. This is an access correction, not a balance change to the activity itself. Enemy strength, rewards and the selected difficulty continue to follow the normal rules.

If the destination still fails after the update, the player should confirm the build number and current quest state before changing a whole loadout. A connection problem, incomplete unlock or old client can produce a different symptom. The official fix applies to the specific pre-Torment teleport failure.
