Operation Split Fire will begin in Rainbow Six Siege on 1 September. The season introduces Noor, an Egyptian defender designed to stop attacks led by shield operators. It also adds several changes for competitive and casual players.
Noor uses the Horus Lance Launcher. Its charges can attach to ballistic shields or destructible surfaces and then release flames. The effect forces the attacking player to move the shield aside and remove the device instead of continuing the attack.

Noor’s device forces shield operators to stop
Operators with shields normally create safe space for teammates behind them. Noor changes that rhythm by attaching a threat directly to the shield. The affected player must react, which gives defenders a brief chance to change position or stop the players following behind. The launcher holds a total of five charges. They can pass through destructible surfaces and work from an adjacent room, floor or ceiling. This makes information important because firing without a clear reason can waste a limited charge.
Noor can also use the device on Castle’s Armor Panels and Azami barriers. The flames can block an area even when no shield is present. A team should save at least one charge because the attackers may try to place the defuser near the end of the round.
Noor can use two primary weapons
The new defender can choose the Commando 9 assault rifle or the ALDA 5.56 light machine gun. Her secondary choices are the 1911 TACOPS and Bailiff 410. Deployable Shield and Barbed Wire complete the standard gadget options. Noor has ratings of two for both health and speed.
This balanced profile allows her to move between defensive positions without becoming a pure roaming operator. Her main value comes from placing the Horus Lance where an attacking player must slow down.

A good position needs an exit. Standing too close to the fire can leave Noor exposed after the effect ends. Defenders should use the delay to find a safer line of sight, bring a teammate closer or prepare another defensive device.
Ubisoft updated Villa and added a 3v3 mode
Operation Split Fire includes several changes for Villa. Ubisoft plans changes to breachable walls, hatches and bomb-site locations. Players need to check old routes because previous defensive plans may no longer work. A limited 3v3 arcade mode uses shorter preparation and a maximum of seven rounds. Every eliminated player has a larger effect because each team has only three members. Teams need simple roles because one player who moves alone can leave only two teammates in the round.
The season also modernises Stadium Alpha, Stadium Bravo and House. These locations support the new mode and give players a reason to review lines of sight that are less common in standard ranked play.

Legend Division is a solo queue for experienced players
The new Legend Division is planned for the middle of the season. It is a solo queue for players who meet strict competitive and account requirements. Current Champion rank, a previous Platinum rank, positive reputation and completed security checks are among the listed conditions.

The entry rules should produce matches between experienced players without pre-made groups. Individual communication remains essential because teammates cannot rely on a familiar team plan.
Operation Split Fire also brings balance changes and the Wasteland Circuit event. The season therefore contains more than the new operator. Players should review the Villa changes and Noor’s device before launch.
Noor needs support from her team
Attaching the Horus Lance to a shield creates only a short advantage. Defenders need to decide what happens during that time. They can move to another position, bring a teammate closer or prepare a second device near the bomb site.
Using the launcher without support may only make the attacking player pause. A coordinated defence uses that pause to make the opponents lose ground and time. Noor’s main value therefore comes from teamwork, not only from damage.
