With the release of Chapter 7 Season 4 “Override” on August 20, 2026, Epic Games delivered what sprite fans had been waiting for since the start of Season of Runners. All 117 creatures collected throughout the season didn’t disappear or reset—they were moved to a separate space where you can not only store them, but also observe them, build homes for them, and even guide them around the island. And yes, your sprite pollen has reset—but this isn’t a bug, it’s a feature, and we’ll explain why. A full list of what was retained, what was reset, and how to navigate the new system is below.

What is the Sprite Garden in Fortnite and how to access it?

The Sprite Garden is a new personal space where all the sprites you’ve collected in matches, starting with Season 3, are automatically transferred. It’s more than just a gallery. This is a fully-fledged island where your sprites roam freely, interacting with each other, and you can build homes for them, place them on pedestals, and simply observe their habits. For now, the mode is completely peaceful—no PvP, no battles. Just collecting and relaxing.

How to get there:

There are two ways. The first is through the Discovery menu in the lobby: find the Sprite Garden map and make sure it’s created by EpicGames (there are many fakes). The second is to manually enter the island code: 4220-9404-7987. You can log in alone or with friends—up to three people at a time, and each will have their own garden.

When you first log in, an NPC named Jade will guide you through a short tutorial: just a couple of button presses, and you’re already building your first home for your sprites.

Important: There are six achievements in the Sprite Garden—for example, building four houses, collecting 25 or 50 sprites, or visiting the garden for three, five, or seven days in a row. However, they don’t provide any rewards—they’re purely decorative milestones for personal satisfaction.

What happens to the sprites from Season 3 after August 20th?

Here’s the main question on everyone’s mind who spent hours collecting 117 sprites in Runners.

In short: they’re still there.

All your sprites from Chapter 7 Season 3 have been automatically transferred to the Sprite Garden. You can’t equip them in Season 4 matches—they’ve been replaced by new sprites. But they’re still physically present; you can see them, pet them, and build a home for them. Furthermore, Epic Games has left open the possibility of their return to the battle royale in future updates.

Will sprites and pollen be retained?

Sprites—yes. Your entire collection of 117 sprites is intact. But your Sprite Dust is not. With the launch of Season 4, the balance was reset for all players, including those who had accumulated the maximum 250,000. This was done intentionally, as the pollen mechanics were completely reworked.

Where did the 117 Runners sprites go?

They’re waiting for you in the Garden. In the lobby, open the Override → Sprites → View Archive tab, and you’ll see a complete list of all your sprites, indicating which ones have been mastered and which haven’t.

How to Get All Season 3 Sprites Before the End – A Complete Guide

If you haven’t yet collected all 117 Season 3 sprites, unfortunately, the ability to earn them in matches has been closed since August 20th. But there’s good news: if you have unleveled sprites left in your collection, you can still level them up to Mastery Level 5 in the Garden—the mechanics are still in place.

Season 3 Sprites Garden

For those looking to quickly level up their sprites in future seasons, here’s a working method tested in Season 3:

  1. Land on the Cluster Coast.
  2. Find a bonfire on the eastern shore or on a grassy island, light it, and stand nearby to receive a x2 XP buff.
  3. Find the rubber ducky wearing sunglasses in the same locations. Pick it up to receive a mysterious keycard.
  4. Enter the building opposite the fountain. In the first room on the left, place the duck on the display case. This will open a secret hatch in the floor containing gold bars and rare chests.
  5. Open all the chests and ammo boxes, and destroy the gold bars—this will give you over 3,000 gold.
  6. Return to the surface and open containers to reach sprite level 3.
  7. Find the Mending Machine (the vending machine with the cross) and buy two Quack Snacks for 1,500 gold. Use them, and your sprite will instantly reach level 5.
  8. Go to the extraction point north of Cluster Coast or use a portable extractor.

This method allows you to level up to 80+ sprites per day.

Sprite Safari Quests – How to Complete All Stages

Fortnite Sprite Safari Quests

Sprite Safari is a quest chain introduced in Season 3 and remains relevant for newcomers. There are five quests in the chain, each rewarding 10,000 XP.

Quest Condition Reward
Extract sprites to complete your collection 0/10 10,000 XP
Enter a match with a sprite equipped 0/5 10,000 XP
Earn Sprite XP by killing enemies, opening chests, and extracting sprites 0/2 500 10,000 XP

Two additional quests in the chain are related to specific sprite types and their leveling. All quests are completed in Battle Royale matches; the sprite must be in your inventory, otherwise progress will not be counted.

Sprite Dust — How to Earn and Spend

Season 4 has seen a dramatic change in the pollen mechanics.

How to Earn:

  1. Lobby Hack Codes — the fastest way. Enter the following codes in the Admin Panel lobby: ABGESTAUBT, PERLIMPINPIN, CHISPAMBO, MAGILUME — each gives 2,000 pollen. A total of 8,000 in a couple of minutes.
  2. Extracting Sprites in Matches. Find a Cheat Code on the map — an interactive object hidden in POIs or on walls. Interacting with it releases a sprite, which must be carried to the Extraction Site. Extraction is noisy and noticeable — it’s best to clear the area or take cover. If the sprite is already in your collection, it is converted into pollen. Winning a match also counts as an extraction.
  3. Cheat Codes on the map – interact with them to free the sprite, then take it to the extraction point.

What to spend (Sprite Dust Services at Extraction Points):

Service Cost Effect
20,000 XP (Mythic) 1,000 Pollen Instant XP, once per day
Portable Extractor 2,000 Pollen Safely extract a sprite without an extraction point, once per day
Weapon Upgrade from 500 Pollen Rarity Increase
Sprite Locator 100 Pollen Marks nearby sprites
Sprite Summoning 100 Pollen Recovers a lost sprite

Important: Pollen is not lost upon death or leaving a match. It is separate from gold.

What’s next?

The Sprite Garden isn’t just a storage area. It’s a new layer of collecting that makes your sprite-collecting efforts meaningful even after the season changes. Your 117 sprites from Runners aren’t gone—they’re waiting for you in the Garden. The 12 new Season 4 sprites are now available to hunt, and the fan-submitted contest winners will be available mid-season. If you’d like to show off your collection, invite your friends to your Garden and show them every single one. Just keep in mind: they won’t be able to take anything—your sprites are safe.

The date is valid as of August 21, 2026. For the next update, stay tuned to the official Epic Games blog.
