Cloud9 beat 100 Thieves 2-0 in a series where both maps reached at least 24 rounds. Split went to overtime before Breeze ended 13-11.
OXY recorded 51 kills across the match. His output helped Cloud9 finish two maps that remained close until their final rounds.
Split ended regulation with a tied score
Both teams found productive attacking rounds on Split. Defensive utility slowed entries, yet neither side protected a large lead across the full half. The score reached 12-12 and sent the map into overtime. Cloud9 then won the required pair of rounds and closed the opener 15-13.
Overtime followed several late changes in economy. Saved rifles and careful purchases mattered because one weak buy could decide the next two-round sequence. Cloud9 left Split with a narrow lead in the series. 100 Thieves had produced enough chances to win but missed the final conversion.
Breeze remained close but ended in regulation
Breeze produced another balanced game across both sides. Long sightlines created repeated opening duels before either team committed to a site. Cloud9 built small advantages but never escaped completely. 100 Thieves kept the score close and reached eleven rounds near the end.
The final two rounds went to Cloud9, which ended the map 13-11. One more response from 100 Thieves would have forced another overtime. Instead, the series finished after two maps. Cloud9 won four more rounds overall across a contest decided by short closing sequences.
OXY recorded the most kills
OXY finished with 51 kills across Split and Breeze. The total came through 52 completed regulation rounds plus the extra rounds on Split. FireBallOps led 100 Thieves with 41 kills. His team remained competitive because several players contributed during the long middle stages.

Kill totals do not replace round results. They still show which players created the repeated openings and multi-kill holds that shaped both maps. OXY’s impact was especially valuable near the finish. Cloud9 needed reliable first contact while the economy and score offered little margin.
Cloud9 closed the two maps in different ways
Split required Cloud9 to win two consecutive rounds in overtime. Breeze required one final regulation push before 100 Thieves could tie the score. These endings place different pressure on communication. Overtime changes sides quickly, while a 12-11 lead allows one team to protect a single match point.
Cloud9 completed both tasks without moving to a third map. The result looks direct, although the round scores show how close the match remained. 100 Thieves leave without a map despite reaching double figures twice. Small late-round decisions therefore carry most of the difference in the final record.
The 2-0 result improves Cloud9’s map difference
Cloud9 gain a series win and two map victories in the Americas standings. The four-round total margin also enters the wider group record. 100 Thieves receive no map win from a competitive performance. Their next review focuses on late execution rather than a complete lack of round success.
Both map plans created opportunities against Cloud9. The missing part was converting enough of those chances when the score reached its decisive point. Cloud9 leave with the stronger table position and a clear lesson. Close maps still require calm final rounds, even after more than twenty earlier exchanges.
Every player completed a long two-map series
Split and Breeze produced fifty-four rounds together, including overtime. That volume gave each player many chances to affect openings, trades and late defensive situations. Cloud9 used FireBallOps, Zellsis, OXY, Jackk and v1c. OXY recorded seven triple-kill rounds across the complete match, the highest such total on the server.

FireBallOps produced eight multi-kill rounds and completed two defuses. Zellsis added six multi-kill rounds while supporting repeated retakes. Jackk recorded nine plants, the highest Cloud9 objective total. Those plants came during a match where many attacking rounds reached their final site phase.
100 Thieves reached eleven rounds on both maps
Asuna led his team with several opening successes and five plants. Cryocells produced eight multi-kill rounds, keeping 100 Thieves close during the most contested stretches. Timotino completed three triple-kill rounds and one defuse. His impact helped extend Split and supported the late challenge on Breeze.
Vora recorded seven plants and one defuse. Bang contributed three plants as the attacking responsibility moved between players and sites. These figures match the close scorelines. Cloud9 did not remove 100 Thieves from the match early; it secured the last small advantage twice.
A narrow round margin decided both maps
Cloud9 won twenty-eight rounds and 100 Thieves won twenty-four. No map contributed more than a two-round difference between the teams. The losing side reached at least eleven rounds twice. That level normally creates several match points or direct chances to force overtime.
Cloud9’s advantage came from the final sequences rather than an early one-sided half. The team repeated that late execution on two different maps. A third map was unnecessary despite the narrow margins. Winning both close endings gave Cloud9 the complete series without another selection.
