Wukong

Few champions unsettle opponents through misdirection as consistently as Wukong. His fighting style leans on confusion as much as raw force: quick footwork, a staff that extends and doubles as a weapon, and a battlefield image that isn’t always where it appears to be. Vastayan by nature, he trades brute strength for cleverness, letting enemies chase after decoys while he closes the real distance.

His skill was shaped by an unlikely friendship. Wukong found a lifelong companion in the warrior Master Yi, and through that bond became the last living student of Wuju, an old martial art now rare in Ionia. He shares that homeland with other champions caught in its long recovery from war, including Irelia and Jhin, though Wukong’s own fight centers on keeping the land itself from falling apart. Carrying an enchanted staff everywhere he goes, he treats every skirmish as one more step toward that goal.

That approach carries into how he fights. Crushing Blow extends his reach for one attack, adding damage and stripping the target’s armor. Warrior Trickster turns him invisible and dashes him aside, leaving a decoy that keeps swinging in his place. Nimbus Strike dashes him onto a chosen enemy and sends illusions to strike everyone nearby, while Cyclone spins his staff in a wide circle, speeding him up and launching anyone caught in it into the air. His passive, Stone Skin, builds armor and health regeneration the longer he stays in a fight against champions or monsters — a trickster who only gets tougher the more enemies try to surround him. That defensive scaling pairs well with his engage tools: chaining Decoy into Nimbus Strike lets him hit fast and slip away before retaliation catches up, and popping Decoy near a patch of brush is often enough to make a cautious enemy overreact to movement that was never really a threat. For Ionia, that mix of wit and endurance is worth more than any single show of force.
