The Story of Smolder
Smolder is still a child by dragon standards, tucked away in the cliffs along the Noxian frontier under his mother’s watch. He’s the current heir in the Camavoran line of imperial dragons, though right now that inheritance looks less like destiny and more like an excuse to set things on fire whenever he gets the chance.
He is playful and impatient to grow up, and it shows: every new ability gets treated as a game to test rather than a weapon to master. That impatience is also his biggest weakness. He is still a fledgling, and for all the damage he can already do — he sets fire to anything flammable without much effort — he hasn’t picked up the caution an older dragon would already have.
His kit is built around growing into that danger over time. Dragon Practice, his passive, stacks up every time he hits a champion with an ability or finishes off an enemy, and those stacks make Super Scorcher Breath and his other basic abilities hit harder as the game goes on. Achooo! is exactly what it sounds like, a small flaming sneeze that bursts on contact with enemy champions, while Flap, Flap, Flap sends him flying over terrain to bombard whoever is lowest on health. His ultimate, MMOOOMMMM!, calls his mother in to breathe fire down from above — a reminder that for all his growing power, he is still very much a fledgling who needs backup. His story isn’t tied to any single nation the way a Demacian knight’s or a Noxian soldier’s would be — young as he is, Smolder already belongs to the wider world of Runeterra itself, a fledgling dragon who is only just learning where in it he fits. Classed as a Marksman-Mage hybrid, he can be played in the bottom lane or in the middle, and his mana pool powers every one of his fire-breathing tricks regardless of where his mother lets him practice that day.
